ooooh, fabulous! I was wondering about this the other day
I've been watching the second series on CBS and I quite enjoy it as long as I don't think of it in any way connected to UK ghosts@kev1974 I know they've given it a second series and there was a xmas special this year, I think the general feeling among people who have seen both is that the UK one is much betterit annoyed me how they revealed how the ghosts died very quickly and that they seem to have much more money to do the place up/open the B&B with immediately.
I know Mathew Baynton has a cameo next series though, and the UK writers are involved in it generally
They’re all already up on iPlayer too! There's a new series starting tonight
Am excited already
We’ve started the US one and it’s well written in terms of jokes but less in terms of characters.
yes there is an episode where Alison sees other ghosts - the doctor joke is the same in both series.
You both have way better memories than me. I’ve no recollection of Alison and the doctor!I think she could. The doctor scene is lifted from the UK show
I agree the US show is different. I am enjoying it, even though I agree they have rushed through the characters back stories, although I love the back stories. Isn't the trouserless guy a trader? They have got him spot on as a stereotype!
Yup! I can't think of one great episode, especially in comparison to all the other series. It felt like it had no heart leftI agree! I love the Thomas being Scottish and Robin "Lord Knows Who?" scenes in series 5, but I think for me that's about all which is really sad as I love the show sooooo much
Will doDo let us know how it goes! I also want to try out Yonderland!
Count me in!Sunday weather forecast is dark, dreary and wet which means; couch, blanket, candle, brew and watching from episode 1….again
sheer bliss
Quality vs Quantity!18 episodes in series 1 of Ghosts US!
What do we get? 6 episodes per series?
I did find one but it was from 2020 and had 3 posts.I hope so! Maybe we need an ACGAS thread?!
I’ve just finished the US series. So I’ve been lurking on this thread and decided to try the US version! I think the two things I actually liked initially (on episode 3) was 1- that Sam’s fall was a genuine accident 2- the mucky politician is the one that is chasing her; it’s just funny! I definitely agree with the comments above- it’s not subtle at all, but if you take it for what it is, it’s a time waster (I’ve decluttered the whole toy box!)
Soooo excited! There's a new series starting tonight
Am excited already
I thought her sister poisoned her.I'm annoyed we still don't know how Kitty died!
I didn't rate it at all. I think the Horrible Histories Rotton Romans film was much better.I've just watched Bill.
If you like Horrible Histories and Ghosts, you'll like this.
