HELL NO. Fuck right off with that bullshit. Now I can't talk about this with fellow women and compare and contrast because it will offend some people? are you fucking serious?
People? PEOPLE? how the fuck is that right this is a women's disease that women can develop how the fuck is people the correct term? I'm shaking this is a weird cult, mass convertion. The gall of these people.

Also the assigned sex argument makes no sense. When I was born the doctor didn't say "hmm ok so there's a vagina and I'm going to assume it's a girl but maybe it isn't"

What will end up happening is the compassion & understanding for those who really need it will end up going elsewhere due to people taking aspects of this too far.

I am supportive but I'm scared to use any terminology because I'm 90% sure I'll get it wrong and be condemned as being ignorant therefore put in the bracket of those against. It's one thing campaigning to help people and another taking it beyond to the point where you see everyone as the enemy.

Know what else makes me mad? the comparison between this and racism. Racism is based on the idea that someone is inferior solely based on their ethnic background and there used to be theories in 18-19 century like the one that stipulated that black people have a part of their skull that is smaller then whites and are therefore inferior, this is however a bogus and disproven theory. Whereas biology is continuous proven facts. And no lady brains and male brains are not real for example.

In June Cancer Research UK, a charity, tweeted: “Cervical screening (or the smear test) is relevant for everyone aged 25-64 with a cervix.” The odd phrasing—“everyone with a cervix” rather than “women”—was not accidental.


It is notable that Cancer Research UK did not test its “inclusive” approach with a male-specific cancer. Its campaign messages about prostate and testicular cancer address “men”, rather than “everyone with a prostate” or “everyone with testicles”.

There is a word for a situation where women talking about female bodies is considered impermissibly antisocial, where describing the consequences of sexism for women is systematically impeded, where resources for women are redistributed to male users while resources for men are left in male hands, and where “male” and “female” are rigidly associated with masculinity and femininity. That word is not “progressive”, “liberal” or any of the other terms usually associated with trans activism. The word is misogyny. Trans rights should not come at the cost of women’s fragile gains.

Husband is mad at me as I got upset by this and he said I am being aggressive about it. Oh my God. I am going to lose my shit.

Definitely! (And I’m older than you ). And there’s nothing wrong with it - just a bit of harmless teenage navel gazing mixed with wanting to be seen as different and special.

Except now the kids are all pansexual. Bisexuality is transphobic.

All these teen subcultures are basically the same - the emo kids, the goths, the bisexuals who haven’t had sex and actually don’t know who they like - and they’re all harmless rites of passage.

Being trans isn’t harmless and that’s the problem. I don’t think trans is the new bi, it’s the new anorexia.

Apparently some nursers are calling "breastfeeding" "chestfeeding" now as the term "breastfeeding" is not inclusive. LOL. Has everyone gone nuts?

don't buy into that. it's so dumb I'm to dark to be included in self-tanning products and do I call that not inclusive? no. Also what are nursers? You're literally feeding a baby from your breast. I assume you're in the UK?

This is a great opportunity for you to get to know your baby and begin to learn how to breastfeed/chestfeed together. This is a new skill and takes time. We are here for you.”

oh I hear you. It’s kind of all consuming isn’t it - the madness? The other day my husband ROLLED HIS EYES at me. He agrees with me but I think as it makes no difference to his life he can’t get to the righteous anger stage. And that’s the point- the only men where this makes a difference is the exact ones who are deciding that my personality is gendered , that the thing that makes me a woman is the way I behave or look and not what I am.
And don’t fucking roll your eyes at me you absolute bastard!!

There is a really good (I think) video here that sums up what the issue is. It’s worth twenty minutes of your time if you have it. Also she’s incredibly calm which helps those of us that are bubbling with fury...

I haven't commented on here before... But seriously it took years and years of begging doctors to take me seriously before I was diagnosed with endo. Endless nights in A&E being told "it's just women's problems", multiple miscarriages and months in pain it's managed now and I had rainbow twins this year, but seriously? I find this quite upsetting, I don't wish to offend anyone but this isn't a "people" issue. It's a women's issue that ruined my life for decades.

I dedicated 2 years of my life to breastfeeding my children when they were babies. Fuck am I gonna start calling it ‘chest feeding’ now, what a load of nonsense.

I BREASTFED my children, using my BREASTS. If anyone finds that offensive then stay the fuck away from me because I am well and truly over it.

Oh FFS, doctors and medical staff have enough on their plate without having to worry about potentially upsetting someone by using what that person thinks are incorrect pronouns. If somebody wants to transition (and I mean actually become transsexual, not just say they identify as a different sex) then they have to accept the consequences, all of them.

The comedy writer Graham Linehan has been suspended from Twitter. I'm so upset by this, he has long been a champion of womens rights which are under attack and is one of the few celebrities who was willing to stick his head above the parapet when others lacked the guts to do so and were happy to throw JK Rowling under a bus.
