Earlier this year, my youngest child had to have an X- Ray, she has had them since birth to monitor her lung growth and spinal curvature. This year was the first time that my husband, a 6 foot bearded, broad shouldered, unmistakable man, was asked by a male radiologist if he was ever a woman at any time in his life. We were both so confused at first. He laughed it off and said no and pointed to his beard. I asked the female radiologist what the relevance was in the question and she stated that he might be pregnant. She gave me a bit of a judging look at the time. My question slipped out before I could think, but in hindsight, I'm glad I said something because it was utterly ludicrous. Note, they did not ask me, the actual woman who birthed the child, if I was pregnant and we were both there to restrain our daughter (unfortunately she does not react well to medical procedures) and we both had to wear the aprons. I look like a woman too and 1000 times better looking than Himdia and his pals but I'm also an average looking woman. Nothing special but definitely female. So I'm not surprised by this but I am angry.
