Christ on a bike they're all thick as tit aren't they? Can NHS Fife produce a witness with an IQ above room temperature?

NC on her cross examination, transcript from the Scotsman, from the NHS witness, Ms Nichol!!!

We are now looking at messages in the Benidorm chat about Ru Paul’s Drag Race. Ms Nicoll sends a message saying she hoped her two gay sons didn’t want to dress up in drag as she doesn’t know how much she can take.
Ms Nicoll said: “I was making a joke about watching Ru Paul’s Drag Race with my sons and the possibility of them telling me they will dress up in drag.
“Drag queens are people who dress up in exaggerated female outfits with exaggerated makeup and nails, so I don’t know what the point [in that question] was.”

So Ms Nichol doesnt want her gay sons to dress up in drag....hmmm.....very LGBQT supportive....not!!!!

She seems as thick as a whale omelette. Very vindictive. What a high quality witness for NHS FAFO to call...

Taking messages from a private chat , this Benidorm chat, does seem a bit ridiculous.....
Ive had rows with my kids about text messages...because they have been completely misinterpreted...... its far far too easy to do. And as for some of the black humour/ so called racist comments...... I thought doctors and nurses were actually known for black humour as a way to release the tension of a disaster!

repeating a comedians words ....maybe off colour and not that appropriate....but...... how were they meant?

Always good to admit to breaching your own professional standards, alongside the DPA/GDPR whilst giving evidence that your colleague is unprofessional.

Well I’d say Lindsay’s level of find out is directly proportional to her level of duck around.

She stayed in the group chat for 7 years and said nothing while racist jokes were shared, did a bit of teeheeing along at LGBT jokes and Adult Baby Diaper Lovers, continued to go on holiday with the woman god knows how many times, then ran to management with the sole aim of having her struck off.

And now she could be reported to the NMC and ICO herself. Hope it was worth it

I can't reconcile the claim about bacon with the messages we have seen Sandie sent to Lindsay. That's bigoted frothy-mouthed behaviour, and I can't understand how it would come from someone so mild-mannered and eloquent as Sandie was in those messages. Am I naive? Genuine question here.
Ha - yes I am! The jokes about Pakistanis are awful. But no, there's nothing here which relates to the case and Lindsay is making herself look far worse than she's making Peggie look.

Gender row nurse ‘wanted to post bacon through mosque letterbox’, tribunal told

What a horrible headline to have..... especially as it seems to have been quoted as second hand..... but ...... did Sandie really want to post bacon through a letterbox or was it meant to be an off colour joke?

And irrespective of this...what does this have to do with wanting a single sex changing room and asking for one? At work!

The ironic thing is that she was happy to provide that 2nd hand info, but didn't like this 2nd hand info, as thought it unreliable!

Is this woman genuinely that stupid? Has this ideology ducked people’s minds up so much that they don’t think any man hanging around where women are changing is in the wrong?
Of course, any man in a women’s changing room is a weirdo. Uptonogood would honestly give me the creeps. He’s no different than any other man, other than he’s declared he’s a woman because? No, I honestly don’t get it. He is exactly the same as any other man, in fact, creepier as he’s lying and pretending he’s something he’s not.
Yet this idiot can’t see anything weird or creepy about ANY man in a women’s changing room.
This is from The Scotsman

Whichever side of the trans argument you fall on this case has shown to be about significantly more than just that.

It's shown that the NHS is toxic. That power is routinely abused. And most of all - that the majority of employees at that hospital dont know of or understand their own policies and procedures.

Whether you think SP was right or wrong to leave the changing room that day is almost irrelevant. Because the way the entire matter was handled is absolutely outrageous. She was clearly bullied and marked by her colleagues who took no time to even ask her about what had happened.

And higher management all seemed to pass the buck because they essentially didn't actually know what policies or procedures to follow. The whole thing was as clear as mud.

Had SP gone to a member of management or HR and made a formal request for a female only changing area its looking likely she would have been told that hospital policy allowed anyone identifying as female to change there. Despite the policies being contradictory and not following proper guidance. Instead it appears she chose to leave the changing room herself and remove herself from a situation she felt uncomfortable in. It's clear from the group chats (the extensive number of them) that gossip was rife. So for her to talk to her friends about the exchange isn't that farfetched. That said - I really think they'd have clear black and white proof of what they're claiming she behaved like because they'd have that in a group chat no?

It's about time the NHS in Scotland was scrutinised. Not only because it's policies and decision making procedures aren't fit for purpose. But because the majority of the budget is spent on meaningless roles given to under qualified people who have no clue what they're doing day to day.

Meanwhile waiting lists are as long as your arm.

I think a lot of informal friendship groups are full of stuff that could be taken in different ways.

Current comedians complain bitterly about how difficult it is to make jokes at times that dont step on anyone toes, or offend anyones sensibilities.... look at a lot of old comedies that are not acceptable today. Little Britain for instance!!

However, I find it even worse that these women......Nurse Nichol, didnt actually say anything at the time to express her distaste or dislike for these comments. Why didnt she mention her feelings at the time, if they were so strong?

And as for the two witnesses, getting in the corner and comparing notes at lunchtime! Despite being told not to....perfect mean girls behaviour! And so childish

The real irony is that Sandie did go to her senior manager, Elinor someone in early autumn to ask about what Fifes policy was about having a man in the changing rooms. No one answered Elinors query.....
It was just fudged...... HR was going to get back to them.....Isla Bumba was going to get back to them...leaving Sandie in a quandary.

Its why Elinor couldnt be the one to do the investigating of the December complaint, as she was already involved because she was meant to be giving Sandie an answer about what the hospital policy was!! But as Sandie was never informed....she was left to cope and react by herself

And its already been shown that Kate Searle had already told all the doctors, all about the December row in the changing rooms via WORK emails! So why they are complaining that Sandie tried to discuss it in private I dont know???

I completely agree. I raised it in the park with some dog walkers about half an hour ago and, to a extent, they all see it in the same way as being gay or black. I said that it's a fetish for most men, it's always the men dressed as women making a noise and not the other way around and that most of them keep their genitals but I'm not sure it hits home.

I should add I was actually talking to these dog walkers, I didn't just walk up to them and state my opinions. :ROFLMAO:

Not good enough!

Stride purposefully up to random strangers!

Trap them against a wall!

Poke them firmly in the chest with a rigid forefinger!

TRANSWOMEN are MEN! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

It really seems that no one within any of the departments knew the answer.

Either it was a) anyone identifying as female can use the changing room. Sorry if this makes you uncomfortable SP but that's the policy. If you'd like to make a complaint you can but otherwise here are your options for changing.

Had she been shown the policy and it had met the appropriate guidelines but then had gone on to bully or be inappropriate...they'd have a case against SP. It doesn't appear that scenario happened.

Or b) we have identified hospital policy and the guidelines which show that youre correct SP and are entitled to a female only changing space. Sorry DU you do not have a GRC and so you cannot use those spaces. You may use these spaces to change.

But it seems that everyone was so worried about coming across transphobic they panicked and didn't want to give a clear answer. Probably because the answer should have been close to option b and they were more worried about how they would appear than making sure SP was given the privacy she was legally entitled to.
