Yeah the fuck happened to consent? no means no?
No is a complete sentence. Would you sleep with a transwoman? No. End of conversation. No need for further discussion or explanation.

The rapey under tone is so unacceptable. It feels very incel, you must fuck me or it's a literal hate crime. Madness.

Howth train station. Gang of men, some on bikes. Teenage girls trying to get on the train. The carriages near them didn’t open when they pressed the buttons. So they have to pass the gang to get into the next carriage. As they pass they are spat on, one girl is kicked in the head. One man stands by the train so that they have to pass through the gang to get passed. A girl (17) with dark hair goes past, she is spat at and a bike wheel shoved in her path deliberately and she falls down the crack between the train and the platform. The men on bikes barely glance and just continue without a care in the world. One at least seems to understand that she could be killed, likely only concerned that he may be in trouble for his part in it.
i could throttle them with my bare hands.

'Go educate yourself' is what the uneducated say. I'm sure if lots of people actually took the time to examine the dearth of research on the long term effects of PBs, or the actual cases of transwomen offending in same sex spaces etc, people would think differently. Ignorance is bliss and a requisite for believing a lot of this bollocks.
i actually did go educate myself on this scenario after being told to do so by people on twitter and this is where i've ended up so i wouldn't say it has the effect they intend!

Language is such an interesting thing. The French have always tried to tightly control theirs and have a ministry dedicated to it. I personally disagree with that. Language evolves and that's fine. I think the move from default 'chairman' to 'chairperson' for example was positive, but it was individuals and organisations who made that change happen and you won't get arrested if you say 'chairman'. (Not that you would get arrested in France, but you know what I mean. No one owns English).

Interestingly, the '-ess' suffix (actress, manageress, etc.) is no longer favoured in English, whereas in German, like in French, there is a move to include the female ending to all nouns like this, having a sort of hybrid using either a midpoint or an asterix. So in the English speaking world people prefer to use the word 'actor' which originally was only for men, for both men and women whereas in German people are pushing for 'Schauspieler*innen'.

I find the top-down approach adopted by large businesses and organisations on some of the gender neutral language ill advised. Trying to control how people speak seems Orwellian to me. The reason people are reluctant to use 'they' as a singular pronoun is because it makes things unclear in many instances. NOT in the often cited instance of when you don't know a person (and how we have used 'they' as a singular pronoun for ages). But here's an example of using 'they' as a singular pronoun that I found really confusing.

Does the first 'they' refer to Alex and Krista? If they are married, how can they have sisters? Oh, it refers to Courntey. Fine. Hang on, Ahsley and Brittany were 9 and 11 when they were born? What? How can you be 9 at your own birth?

I don't have an issue with a third singular pronoun in principle, though I find the focus on it strange, given that the person being referred to won't be there and therefore not know how they are being referred to. I get that 'it' is dehumanising ,but 'they' is often really confusing. Neopronouns have not worked, because deliberately introducing grammatical terms like this has never happened in English as far as I'm aware.

Anyway, these are my thoughts on language. Thanks for listening.
I prefer saying ‘actress’ or ‘chairwoman’. I don’t know, I don’t see why gender neutral means automatically everything is male (like actor is used now instead of actor or when skirts are removed from school uniform in favour of trousers).

- On behalf of straight women we don't want to fuck you either.

*This loser right here figured out that he can't pressure straight women into dating him, but lesbians are easy prey

View attachment 574227

also, please note that even if you were sexually assaulted by a man/hace trauma related to penises you should get over it and suck his peen - vile conversion therapy
Here’s the skinny on the whole thing: you don’t have to fuck or suck anyone you don’t want to. It’s really that simple. I am not sexually attracted to men without penises, in the same way I am not sexually attracted to men who are shorter than me or who are extremely obese. It’s just one of the things that doesn’t turn me on and I will not fuck them to spare their feelings.

What a shame that what seems like an important bill to support black woman has been overshadowed and what a massive own goal for the American left who are pushing people into the arms of the right with this kind of lunacy.
Well said. I'm as liberal as they come and they're losing me with this. Beyond insulting.

"If she was a normal woman and not a lesbian". How much more obvious does it have to be that a homophobic man typed that?

Very NSFW link but tip #3 is

Realize that lesbian bodies come in many forms (including pre-surgery trans women.) Ask your partner how their genitals like to be touched and how you can validate their gender identity in the bedroom.
Worrying about whether you're validating someone's gender enough sounds like fun sex.

On a slightly more shallow note I thought this was interesting. More proof that some treat trans people like children and don't respect them as their equal- that is objectively shit eyeliner
I cannot understand why so many handmaidens fall over themselves to gush praise at these autogynephilic fetishists. Actually, his eyeliner looks shit and he also has male pattern baldness.

I agree with you, that people treat these men like they are small children, over praising them for anything they do. I sometimes think these women do it to convince themselves in their belief that these men can miraculously ‘become’ women by wearing a questionable outfit, a bad wig and shit makeup. He is part of the patriarchy himself too and if she can’t see that, she’s even more stupid than she realises.

So Demi Lovato is non-binary now
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/newsbeat-5716954 1

At this point it feels like people are "coming out" as non-binary for a bit of news coverage.
For gods sake. What hope do children have when grown adults are perpetuating stereotypes like this.

I don’t identify as a woman or man either, I’m a woman because of my biology, not because of what I wear or like. It’s called not buying into this misogynistic crap.

It was amazing how many people who were very vocal on twitter following the horrific murder Sarah Everard, being very critical of the policeand government and demanding they do more to protect women were the same people who had been saying ‘Predatory men will attack you anyway’ in regards to men using women’s toilets or ‘A rapist will just go into the toilet anyway’

It made me so so so angry at the time and I had no where to vent it.

Some people I know are trying to encourage (on social media and at uni) a "boycott" of certain sanitary protection brands that they see as not "inclusive" enough e.g. Always whose packaging has the female symbol and advertising refers to girls and women. For heaven's sake. The fact that you need sanitary products indicates you're women - even though some of you want to be seen as non-binary/transmen. Just be glad you have access to these products unlike the many many women worldwide living in "period poverty"

Regarding the crossing - some people on twitter were saying 'it's only £50 worth of paint so it isn't taking money away from services'... these people have clearly not worked in local government/public services if they think a council can manage to make that happen for £50.

I’ve talked about it before here but I have large breasts that are uneven. They have caused me so many problems to my physical and mental health. I’ve gone as far as strapping them down. A few years ago I heard that someone I knew from school had top surgery done on the NHS. I was refused surgery on the NHS because they won’t do surgery for mental health and I was told ‘just get a better bra’ for the pain I experience. And I have often thought in my darkest moments, gosh I wish I could say I’m trans and get top surgery done. That would stop the pain.
This makes me so cross. the NHS refused multiple times to fix the internal damage I have from carrying twins. My abdominal muscles are torn and I'm in pain every single day, I haven't been able to lift my own children in 8 months. They have relented and I'm on an incredibly long waiting list, but it does sund like asking to become a woman is easier than fixing female related issues😡

I know it's awful but I would suggest keep trying, don't talk about your mental health at all (my surgeon actually advised that I never discuss any emotional issues with ANY of the related surgery staff or they'll doubt me!) and highlight how bad the pain is.

A writer I follow on IG has a teenager daughter who first went by she/they pronouns and would now prefer just they. In the comments section is this comment 🤯

Saying transwomen are women drives me nuts. It's not helpful to either group to pretend we're the same. Surely the trans experience is different to ours? Are they not proud to be trans? Also, I've noticed a trend. If a TiM commits a crime he's a woman. If he's a victim he's a transwoman
