Arghhhh so sick of people downplaying the sex by deception issue with the recent case of the TIM being attacked.

Nobody disputes the stabbing attack was wrong, or that the non-consensual filming of the blow job is wrong. But the utter inability to accept that lying about your sex in the bedroom is also wrong is infuriating. But they can’t concede it because it would mean they have to admit biological sex matters.

Had the TW used some sort of physical means to force his victim to have a homosexual encounter when he didn't want it, then the TW would have been guilty of sexual assault. Effectively he has done the same thing by deception. (Not that this would excuse a stabbing, but people would have sympathised). Unfortunately because the word "t****ie" has been used, it has become a hate crime.

It wouldn't surprise me if the victim (of the sexual deception) is part of a very "macho" culture, where his status was being destroyed when it was made public that he had had sex with another man. He may have felt that he "had" to respond to show people that he wasn't gay, and that the TW wasn't going to get away with it. He may even have been getting mocked in public about it, seeing as the TW seemed to have publicised the encounter.

No - it's not right that someone ended up getting stabbed, but if you live by the sword, sooner or later you will die by the sword.

Everybody involved in this sordid interlude should be going to jail.

I have no doubt that some of those people believe that this does put girls (the actual kind) in danger by removing the boundaries re: adults being able to question what's in their underwear. And actually I think it's a very valid point. But they have been lied to in order to push forward this hideous bleeping agenda. As someone else said, sex is sex and doesn't change. Stop telling kids it can and stop parents pushing for their sons or daughters to be treated as the opposite sex in schools. Stop letting male children/adolescents competed in girls sports. It's hard enough to keep teen girls involved in sports without taking away their ability to actually win.

It was because biological sex was recorded and that was it. No confusion, no ambiguity, non binary or gender fluid. But of course, the TRA have to try and win their argument by suggesting something disgusting and unthinkable, to make GC seem like perverts. Males in inappropriate areas around girls could be called out but now there’s every chance that it will be dismissed as a hate crime against poor, vulnerable males trans people.

This idea of needing to check someone/a child's genitals to establish their sex is a complete load of balls - see what I did there!
This line is trotted out to support the notion that trans people actually 'pass' and so there is a need to prove a person's sex, which is completely wrong as you can tell if someone is male or female!

When I worked in schools (years ago) records were mostly on paper. Computerised systems were very much in their infancy. I worked in areas where there was a huge turn over of children and it could be difficult to track them once they'd left the area. Pupils remained registered at a school until we were contacted by the school they'd moved to, and only then were they officially transferred over. If we didn't hear from a new school, we contacted social services to alert them.

The reason this system was in place was for safeguarding. It was to prevent children from "disappearing" and to ensure they were safe. It wasn't perfect but it did help. Part of this safeguarding was that the child's birth certificate had to be shown to the school office when the child was enrolled, and all school records (including the exercise books the pupils wrote in) used the original birth certificate name. If the child's last name had been legally changed since birth then that was recorded only after a legal document had been seen by the school. If there were extenuating circumstances (such as fleeing a violent partner) then that could be accommodated with appropriate evidence. If a child wanted to be called a shortened version of their name in the classroom we'd usually do this verbally only.

With a computerised system I assume children are given a number when they first start school which follows them throughout their education and is a lot easier to track. But I still feel very uneasy that documents such as a birth certificate can be changed, and changed so dramatically. It's another layer of protection for vulnerable children who may be moving to multiple schools on a whim by parents (although I think that's also been made more difficult to do).

Part of seeing the birth certificate was recording whether the child was male or female. Not a single genital inspection was ever needed.

As adults, official forms often ask for previous names. Married women are expected to give their maiden name. Do Transpeople not have to do give their birth name?

It is voluntary for someone to reveal they used a different name in the past if they have a DBS check or indeed their previous recorded gender. They are the only group who are permitted this privilege which flies in the face of every last bit of safeguarding advice

When you register your child at school, you still have to take in their birth certificate (original, not a copy) and their sex and name are recorded. So they’re accurate throughout a child’s schooling, even if they’re socially transitioned.

I don’t know how it works in the US

The problem I have with this is that what they arguing for is Biological Men to have free access to Female changing areas where young Women are going to be in a state of undress. Where's the checks and balances for those Women. Ah yes, they don't count. bleeping bleeps the lot of them.

I don’t know how anyone can come to these threads (thinking of the fairly recent disrupters) and not see the threat to women and girls that TIMs pose with all the evidence we post on here. The only conclusion is that they are misogynists in every sense of the word and enjoy baiting (mostly) women in the same way TRAs do.

I had to do a course at work last week on equality. It started perfectly reasonably with examples of people being treated equally regardless of disability, race and sex and sone perfectly reasonable examples were given regarding unreasonable and reasonable behaviour. About half way through it moved onto planet trans and how it was good practice to provide gender neutral toilets so as not to discriminate against a trans or non binary employee with just a slight comment about this may be difficult culturally for some religions. It was an online thing so you couldn't challenge anything and to get full marks on the multiple choice you had to select good practice to prevent discrimination was to do away with single sex places. I didn't get full marks and have queried with HR how they deal with things that conflict.

If there was an option, I'd suggest that a separate mixed-use toilet would be a suitable compromise. Most bigger offices I've worked in have had a random loo left over from when the building was a different configuration before an extension, or something like that. There was one place I worked where there was a single upstairs cubicle that had been part of an executive floor at one point. I used to go in there without fail at about 11am every day for a quick break.

I don't think the gender wonks want that, though, even though it would give them somewhere safe and private to use the loo.
