At least it's being covered but this article is clearly too sympathetic to these two athletes. Trying to conflate their situation with other types of DSD who wouldn't have any kind of advantage, when it's clear for all to see they do.

But it’s not that simple."

How so? female sports don't exist for men who cannot compete at male levels. It's not an "other" category.

"“These people don’t make testosterone. They develop a very typical female anatomy,” Dr Hilton says."

So this is clearly not the case here. Especially in Imane's case as he has struggled with high testosterone levels in the past.

it’s deliberately misleading to switch to the type of DSD that those two men can’t possibly have.

I appreciate DSDs can be complex but when there is a clear physical advantage and a risk to women’s safety, the start point should be a simple cheek swab. Not lets include anyone that says they are a woman incase they have a DSD and we don’t want to upset them.

A cheek swab might exclude some people with DSD but if the science and genetics is as complex as those professionals say it is then so be it, until more research is done. People are excluded from sports for all sorts of physical and medical reasons all the time.

Idiots. Humans are alllllllllllllll either male or female. Fact. Some humans have differences of sex development. Some humans have metaphysical, unfalsifiable beliefs about their gender. This does not change the fact the HUMANS ARE SEXUALLY DIMORPHIC.

That makes no sense. The mask isn't covering her eyes so it's not stopping her being distracted. Whoever heard of having to cover your cheeks and mouth to prevent distraction?

The IOC not only allow men to beat up women in boxing, they also turn a blind eye to doping scandals and have made threats to officials investigating this.
In today's news...
"...the Chinese swimming squad has been at the centre of a doping scandal so serious that it threatens not only the integrity of the Paris Olympics but the very soul of competitive swimming.
According to an investigation by the New York times, published in April this year, 23 Chinese swimmers tested positive for a drug called trimetazidine (tMZ) in the months leading up to the tokyo Games (held in 2021 due to the pandemic).
To the consternation of many, five of the tainted swimmers went on to win medals – including three golds – in Japan.
And then, just last week, 11 of the 23 who had returned a positive test took to the pool in Paris. Among them, two of the men who helped secure that historic relay gold: Qin Haiyang and Sun Jiajun.
The swimmers identified by the New York times were cleared of cheating by officials from the China Anti-Doping Agency (CHINADA), who claimed they had unwittingly ingested negligible amounts of heart medication while staying at a hotel during a domestic swimming competition.
tMZ is used to treat heart conditions such as angina. But because it helps to metabolise fatty acids more quickly, tMZ can aid high level sporting performance by increasing the flow of blood to the heart and thus boosting oxygen circulation around the body.
According to CHINADA, traces of tMZ were found in spice shakers kept in the kitchens of the Huayang Holiday Hotel in Shijiazhuang. the agency did not, however, explain how a prescription heart drug found its way into the hotel’s kitchen.
Remarkably, the World AntiDoping Agency (WADA) chose to accept China’s bizarre explanation, citing ‘a lack of credible evidence’ to the contrary. ‘Ultimately, we concluded there was no concrete basis to challenge the asserted contamination,’ said WADA’s senior director of science and medicine, Oliver Rabin.
In July this year, it emerged that Olympic chiefs had issued an ultimatum to the US: halt any investigation into Chinese doping or risk losing the right to host future Olympic Games."
