I mean this is just awful. And aside from the whole medicalising of this as a parent of two ASD kids who has had to fight for even the slightest adjustment or assessment that has been proven time and again to actually do good its so infuriating that this issue is seen as more important than all others (I'm not sure I'm expressing that properly but I hope you can get the idea)

Well, I’m not surprised with the reality but it’s quite horrifying seeing it laid out like that.

And even in adult services, it’s women that are bearing the brunt and being massively let down. I’m guessing the older males no longer have a need because they can now get their fetish validated by the adoring public instead.

A lot of the younger men wanting to transition are confused, mental health issues etc as well. I think it's all the older men and some younger men that have fetishes.

I thought maybe there's just a need for the detransition service? It's good that it's not linked to the transition side of things - might make it easier for people to go there. A lot of detransitioners are really angry about what was done to them. How is one arm of the NHS going to recognise that while the other keeps doing those things to new patients.

IIRC he lost his job, moved back to Canada to his mum’s and stacked on so much weight that his cycling “career” also tanked Zack Bridges took the mantle as go-to cycling cheat. I was thinking of him only yesterday while watching the track cycling. The footage of his last outing was hilarious, if you ever saw it. While being helped on to the track, his helper lost control of Rhys and the bike and they all collapsed onto the track in a heap- all the lols

Did you see the women’s team pursuit bronze? Our team GB girls were incredible. So pleased cycling have started to see sense and have protected our elite women. Just hope they trickle it down, it has a long way to go - the Breeze programme for women is social cycling groups to help encourage women to cycle more. But you can still identify into it It puts me off joining my local group, out of principle.

I actually applied for a job with British Cycling not long after the 2012 Olympics, it was specifically related to Womens cycling, like a project admin role. They wanted to try and increase female participation at recreational level off the back of the success of Team GB. I had to do a presentation on barriers to cycling for women. At no stage during my research did I come across trans identified people. It’s crazy how this has exploded in more recent years and how damaging it is for women even at recreational level. Apparently I gave the best presentation but the job went to someone with better excel skills. However given the way things went I’m glad I didn’t end up in the middle of it all, I probably would have got sacked.

What an awful woman who identifies as a chair (stole that from the intro ). I get more angry with women that silence women than the men that do and sometimes I question if that’s misogynistic in itself but women that do this do feel like traitors. They really should know better and that’s not giving men a free pass (I hope)
