I was out for dinner last night with some mum friends and we got onto the topic of gender identity and I was so relieved to find we are all on the same page! Amongst the group were primary school teacher and paediatrician, so they’re definitely not all captured. It’s the first time I’ve discussed with real life friends and said to them previously I would have been too afraid to say anything at the risk of being accused a bigot and we all agreed the majority probably do feel the same way as us but it’s a very loud minority pushing this through.

I was thinking about ‘labels’ earlier today, and realised that labels such as ‘terf’, ‘nazi’, ‘bigot’, etc don’t actually bother me at all, as aside from the fact that I know I am not hateful or bigoted, a) I don’t give a toss about any firm of labels, either those people apply to themselves or those they throw at me; b) they’re a substitute for a coherent, factually grounded argument; and c) the people using them as insults are not capable of any form of critical or intelligent thought, ergo their opinion is entire moot to me.

People say this about young women suddenly in their droves wanting to be men, “It’s not that it’s social contagion, it’s that more people nowadays are being open about being trans than they could before”.

MMMM. I hate to burst your bubble but if that were true, we’d have 30, 40, 50+ year olds all going on testosterone and getting our boobs lopped off. Funny that it’s directly affecting very young women e.g teens and early 20s. Wonder what might be behind that?!?

The only women I know who are over 25 who’ve had a double mastectomy are those who’ve had breast cancer and were deeply affected by the operation (my mum being one). She ended up having both boobs, uterus, fallopian tubes, ovaries and her cervix taken out due to the BRCA1 gene. Her female reproductive system removed in one go. Still a woman with no boobs, no womb, no periods. More of a woman than any male will ever be.

I'm going to keep an eye on this story and how it develops. The organiser of a lesbian speed dating event is in trouble for 'transphobia' for stating that the event is only open to 'adult human females'. She stated explicitly that 'if you're male, then you're not a lesbian', after she says that last year a person turned up sporting purple latex and an erection:

As is to be expected, members of an activist group reported her to her employer, and now the pub that holds the events is also looking into the matter.

This is madness. If you're a lesbian, then you aren't attracted to people with a male body. It's just that simple. I'm heterosexual, and I can state categorically that I would not be attracted to a transman - and most definitely not to one who hadn't had surgery. Does that make me transphobic? No, it just means that I, as an adult female, am only attracted to adult males. I don't care what you call yourself, if you're not an adult male, then for dating purposes, you're wasting my time and you shouldn't be in a potential pool of biological men if I'm looking for a date.

I feel so sorry for lesbians because they are at the forefront of this misogynistic inability to understand that if you're same-sex attracted, that generally means physical sex, and not the sex someone decides in their head that they are. Gay men don't have the same pressure from transmen.

I was in our local yesterday with the normal bunch of regulars. It was brought up that there was a protest in a nearby village last week against gender neutral toilets being installed in a junior school. I was *delighted* that everyone there yesterday was horrified by the idea and then the whole trans topic was discussed - pleased that I'm socialising with a lovely bunch of TERFS

I've always been led to believe that men with a lot of breast tissue or gynecomastia were at the highest risk for this, but it might not be true.

I was accused quite recently of hating Izzard for daring to wear lipstick in public. This annoyed me disproportionately because I loved Eddie in his funny, fabulous action transvestite days. I despair of how wilfully thick certain people are being about his timeline. For years, he said "they're not women's clothes, they're mine". Loads of GC people I know loved him for that, and his brilliant standup. Then there was a long period where he wanted to be taken seriously as an actor, grew a beard, did Bond villain parts and told everyone he was bored of the makeup and heels. His transactivist supporters appear to have forgotten that this happened and will accuse anyone who remembers it, or has basic YouTube search skills, of being bigoted and evil. It's denying documented facts.
The person who accused me claims that GC people have always hated Eddie and that is categorically not true either.

This is exactly how I feel about Izzard. I admired him when he was wearing lippy etc but still saying he was a man. I thought how great we can widen the definition of being a man. But this jumping on the trans bandwagon for clout, and going against everything he’s said in the past, and the comments about the girls in the toilets, has made me hate him. Yes, I said hate. No, I don’t ‘hate all trans people’. I hate Eddie Izzard for gaslighting the entire nation, cosplaying ‘woman’ and chopping and choosing his gender, always to his own advantage and financial gain. Us actual women don’t get that choice. He’s the most white privileged man out there and he knows it and takes FULL advantage. He’s an arsehole and did I mention I hate him?

It makes it sound as though a baby's sex is arbitrarily given, when it is something which is determined at conception and identified (by genitalia) at birth, ir even before via a scan.

Nobody "assigns" a child a sex - except perhaps God and Mother Nature,

My son’s sex was accurately recorded at 20 weeks in utero. No one assigned the ‘male’ marker to him apart from Mother Nature. We saw it with our own eyes on the screen.

And the fact he is male doesn’t mean he has to be only one kind of boy or man. He can be anyone he likes, dress however he likes, have his hair whatever way he wants, have interests of what he likes, there is no limit. But nothing he wears or likes would ‘make him a girl’. Even if he wanted to wear dresses and skirts, wear make up, that is fine. Boys and men should be allowed to do these things while still being male. I don’t know why this is not talked about more online - for me the route of all this is toxic masculinity and men not being to accept that there are some males who do not fit the stereotype of what a man should be. Instead it’s up to us women, who have to budge up, give up our hard won rights, and we are silenced (or at least they try to silence us with threats and intimidation) if we object. How about turning those threats to MEN who completely and utterly reject an ‘effeminate’ man, so much so that they are more comfortable accepting them as women. What harm does it do to guys? None. That’s why so many (I hate to say it) but woke bros on Twitter are loving being the cool trans ally, because it literally has no effect on their lives AND they get to openly be dicks to GC women on social media and feel emboldened by it and think they are winning cool woke points. Pathetic and spineless losers.

What infuriates me now I've read these threads and understand what is going on, is that as a parent to two SEN kids I'm constantly battling the system to make accommodations for my kids that aren't really a big deal and will actually help most kids and certainly not harm them but its a constant fight and we mustn't let kids seen to have special treatment. But if they'd come out as trans the whole world seems to have to make changes to anyone's detriment and woe betide anyone who questioned it.

I think its very much a case of the emperors new clothes - I didn't even look into this cos I was told it was bad people who didn't like the trans movement and was too scared to ask as I knew it caused pile ons and trouble. But as soon as you look into it you realise the emperor is bloody naked and the more people that come out and point that out the more likely it will stop.

I'm going to the Joanna Cherry event in Edinburgh on Wednesday, and I'm really nervous about it as there's bound to be a TRA protest. Because of my disability, this will make it very difficult practically to go.

Quite simply, men cannot have them. They have none of the supporting physiology involved in sustaining a pregnancy. There are multiple processes happening beyond the uterus to make a pregnancy viable. As just two examples: Blood volume increases by up to 45% and plasma volume by up to 60% during pregnancy, and the female pelvis is designed to accommodate pregnancy growth; the male pelvis is not.

Where would a uterus ‘go’? There isn’t an empty space in the male pelvis just waiting for a uterus to slot into.

Anyone who thinks ‘just implant a womb into someone’ will allow a biologically male body to successfully carry a baby is unbelievably stupid. There is a vast array of supporting systems that allow a female body to carry a pregnancy to full term, and even so pregnancy is still often a problematic process for many women. Male bodies are not designed to adapt to pregnancy the way female bodies are.

Just wanted to share a snapshot from my house as I was quite proud of my little girl. Her brothers are older teens and they are GC, this is their own opinion as they were peaked by their experience in school of kids weaponising their trans status to get away with bad behaviour and gain privileges. They were having the silly teen discussion along the lines of “my friend identifies as an attack helicopter, I think I might be a ride on lawnmower” (there was probably some smutty innuendo there that I chose to ignore 🫣) One of them asked my little girl if he could be a girl and she thought about it and said “No, because you are a boy. You can like girlish things though.” If a 5 year old gets it, why can’t so-called grownups?!
