Wow Alex Storey really didn’t hold back. Bloody wonderful to see his withering contempt of the odious Tatchell. Give that man a knighthood!

I love it when the handmaidens say that predators won’t go to the trouble of pretending they’re trans to get to women. Failing to realise all predators are lying to their victims in some way. Pretending to be a loving family member or friend, a professional, a stranger needing directions, a normal member of public just going about their day.
I wish I was in a place of naivety that didn’t understand the utter deprivation men are capable of or what they will do given less than half a chance. They will exploit any vulnerability whatsoever.

and if after something like this, they put in measures so that no lone member of staff was left with heavily sedated patients- that would be called safeguarding. In the same way that it is safeguarding to not allow males with male bodies into single sex spaces where women are particularly vulnerable.

If this has even a faint element of truth in it, it makes the whole LGBT ****** movement totally absurd! (I was thinking of it applying more in places like Saudi Arabia rather than the US though, )

Its as if, the LGB movement has been taken over by elements that are encouraging negativity towards les and gay people! Which would be awful. It also explains to some extent the confusion between wanting to support les and gay rights, which I do, so part of me wants to support the whole rainbow and pride movement, and yet also wanting to question critically the whole trans agenda!
I feel the same. With regard to the US, there are still parts which are extremely conservative, especially about anything to do with sex - any kind of sex. Young people are still sent to camps where they're "cured" of being gay. :(

Exactly this. I was talking to our local court reporter a few months ago as he'd remembered doing work experience with me (how old am I?) and he said the sheer never ending stream of male on female sexual crimes was just unbelievable. That's just the ones that get to court.

One of the most disgusting and despicable things I’ve ever read 😖 what a monster. They need to lock him up and throw away the key.

That's amazing, albeit long overdue news, about swimming. I hope that Riley Gaines is having a bottle of champers tonight to celebrate. I have so much admiration for that young woman, and hopefully in time, all young women will recognise the debt that they owe her for her tireless and selfless campaigning.

This video showed up on my timeline just now. It's the former Olympic rower Alex Story and Peter Tatchell reacting to British rowing's decision to ban transgender women from competing against biological women. Alex Storey makes the usual common sense points when talking about how it was insane that it was ever entertained in the first place.

Peter Tatchell is as mealy-mouthed as you'd expect saying that of course the foundation of sport is fairness, but that since biological men come in all shapes and sizes, and some might be smaller than biological women, it's unfair to have a blanket ban. He suggests that it's done on a case by case basis otherwise it's not fair on biological men who transition but don't actually have an advantage over biological women. Err, hello? What arrant nonsense. Of course there are some men who even if they transitioned wouldn't be as athletic as some women, but that isn't the point. Those people clearly wouldn't have a chance of success if they competed against biological men. So why do they get to try out against women? The argument is nonsensical.

I am not in the slightest bit athletic, but that's life. It doesn't mean I should be allowed to compete against say 10 year olds. Sport is competitive, and by its very nature, separates people into those who are stronger, faster, more capable etc. The point of equality in sport is that 'like competes against like'. Anything else is inherently unfair and wrong. Lia Thomas was a mediocre male swimmer, but a champion 'female' swimmer. That's the unfairness. Tatchell is either stupid or being disingenuous if he doesn't understand that point.
Or perhaps just a gigantic hole? 🤣

I had some safeguarding training today actually and two key points:

- it could happen here (this is a school but could be anywhere eg a changing room, hospital

- always think, ‘what if I’m right?’ not ‘what if I’m wrong?’

This is drummed into everyone working with children, young people and vulnerable adults. Why does it suddenly get ignored when it comes to trans identifying males? In fact, it’s not even that it’s just being ignored, it’s being rubbished with stuff like, ‘don’t be silly, why would anyone go to that hassle when they could just walk in and r*pe a woman?!’ WHERE IS THE SAFEGUARDING?!?

Thinking about it, maybe the reason Tatchell keeps appearing on the trans side of things when they need a voice for talk shows is that practically no one else is willing to do it as they know:
-it's balls
-they can't defend it
-they'll be caught up in knots by any decent interviewer
He seems to be the only one doing the rounds at the moment. He hasn't a leg to stand on with the sports thing and he knows it too. Even him saying that transwomen sometimes do have an unfair advantage and it should be assessed on a case by case basis is a big step backwards for his side and a big departure from TWAW. They've lost sports now. More and more organisations will feel comfortable saying no to transwomen competing with women now that the trend has started.

It takes some skill to write a piece this long about modern anti truth movements without once mentioning the trans cult
This new trend of labelling wellness and fitness as far right and fascist is really weird.

Wasn't he great?

You'd think that Tatchell was something he'd scraped off his shoe!

This is what is particularly enraging!

I read somewhere that only about 6% of REPORTED* sexual assaults make it to court, and that the condition rate is incredibly low (can't remember the figure) because juries don't want to take the risk of "ruining a man's life"

*And of course, only a tiny percentage of assaults are reported in the first place. Women and girls fear judgement, blame, not being believed, violence if their assailant is known to them; they blame themselves, often, for "letting it happen" - and so do other people. All of these are known facts, and until recently were widely accepted - but that knowledge is being deliberately set aside because it suits the ethos of genders.

Why on Earth does he expect to be known as “she” and use women’s bathrooms etc., when he calls himself bloody Eddie?
Ah, but when he uses women’s spaces, he is Suzy, so nothing to see here ‘cause if you use a women’s name it makes you a fully fledged female innit:p
