I didn't mean on here; my comment was more general about right wing media after reading some screenshots from that rag. :D

I'm just sick of all the anti Pride stuff and, like it or not, the "community" (for want of a better phrase) gets it in the neck when it comes to most of the criticism. Pride month is over now, but the likes of the DM will still keep trotting out their faux outrage.

As an aside, I read your post right after I'd read the LGB thread and thought I was on there for a minute. I'm trying to get better at just ignoring stuff that annoys me, but sometimes I find it hard haha.
If you’re sick of the anti pride stuff, may I respectfully suggest that the LGB movement campaign for the removal of the rest of the alphabet people from Pride ? None of us on here are anti Pride, we are just fed up of men pretending to be women tagging themselves on to what was a very important movement.

I’ve seen very recently that the Prince and Princess of Wales have posted in support of Pride and I was very surprised to see a lot of criticism for them because of that. It was saddening to see that some people are just straight up homophobic BUT I also saw a lot of comments that people were against the TQ+ aspect, rather than the LGB part of pride. For the sake of LGB people, it would be so great if the trans movement would step away from them, and pursue their own causes rather than piggybacking off LGB activism. It just seems SO UNFAIR to gay people that a backlash is coming on to them because of the deranged antics of TRAs. Sorry if I haven’t articulated myself clearly. Reading some of those comments, I would feel so disheartened if I were gay.
Totally this.
I lived in London in the 90s, when associating with gay people would mean been called a fag hag and worse. I saw how gay people were treated - the 'jokes', the heavy innuendos, the 'you'll never amount to anything', the threats, the 'but of course they'll never have a career'.
I am not gay, but had and have darling friends who are. I saw what they went through, and have always been a true advocate (sorry how it sounds, it's NOT about me). I truly don't care who you like or don't.
But seeing the damage the trans 'activists' are doing to the LGB people makes me absolutely raging. They didn't fight the fight, they didn't live through the open hostility and non acceptance, they have no fucking idea.
Sorry for the rant.

Good for those girls for sticking up for what they believe in!
Oof she followed all the typical roads, didn't she? Arguing, mixing up science with 'feelings', speaking over, getting flustered, trying to stick to the script, then when that fails: threaten with authority, calling the girls bigots.

I'm so proud of these young ladies and thank God they got it on a recording so this adult didn't lie to get these children in trouble. You can tell by how they speak that they're good pupils, they never lose their composure even when they are being insulted, because they respect the authority of their educator (despite that person not deserving it). Nobody would listen to that and think the girls were anything but sensible and principled, unless they were exactly like this teacher.

i do find it odd he has adopted two babies who are 4 months apart in age.
Adoption, especially infant adoption as practised in the US with pre-birth matching, has lots of ethical problems itself.

However, this guy didn't adopt children. He 'used' two surrogates. I hope you are aware of the difference?

When we discuss surrogacy, I often think of Cristiano Ronaldo and his first son whom he acquired under murky circumstances. If I remember correctly, it was never made public how this child came into being and exclusively into the care of Ronaldo's family. Because of course his mother and sister were mainly responsible for the child at the time.
I read an interview where Ronaldo mentioned that eventually the boy started asking about his mother. Apparently they first told him she was "travelling". When the boy wouldn't stop asking why she wasn't coming back or sending pictures, they told him she was dead. And, I quote from memory because it broke my heart and stayed with me, "he goes silent and doesn't ask anymore". This was presented as a good thing.

The whole idea of being born into the wrong body is so flimsy. Who is to say that people know what other bodies feel like, to be able to claim that theirs is the bodies they were ‘meant’ to be born into. I also think it’s a really messed up mentality considering people born with disabilities. They don’t get the chance to opt in or out by just saying so.

The baby looks like it’s grimacing. Its mouth doesn’t look like it’s in a proper feeding position. That baby is either distressed because it’s utterly confused waiting for milk and nothing is happening or it’s grimacing because of some rancid chemical concoction it’s getting. Just vile vile vile. Utterly cruel and abusive. No mother would ever ever put their own disgusting self satisfaction (at best but at worst SEXUAL SATISFACTION) before their child’s safety, comfort and nutrition. The way women torture themselves fucking torture themselves trying to get feeding right, the guilt, the endless sleepless nights, the worry, the pain. Is there nothing these FOUL men won’t appropriate? Is there nothing left? Any single shred of acceptance or indulging this abusive and cruel behaviour is complicit in the abuse of a child. You accept it then you are cheering this on. Abuse. Shame on every person that indulges this. Shame on this deviant perverted narcissistic VILE BEAST.

That poor little baby. I keep thinking about it. The trans movement is evil. It is sexual perversion. My boyfriend is on football Twitter and that thing sexually abusing a baby was being slaughtered on there. No support for it and he was identified for what he is a filthy nonce
I have friends with a wide set of differing beliefs, religions, politics, pro vac, anti vac but I honestly hate the TRAs so much I now know I could not be friends with someone who supports this.

What's your thoughts on women becoming men? I have a colleague whose daughter was firstly lesbian then wanted to be a man. This was since 14. She's 20 now and having top surgery, hormones etc. The talk on here seems to be about men becoming women. I feel like in my friends case, it's about some home life trauma she went through. She changed her mind so much throughout her teens I worry what will happen when she has full surgery if she changes her mind again. Thanks for having me, I'm new but love your posts here and I've learned a lot. I've just got my name badge pronouns removed. Lol.
I think it’s fucking tragic.

Girls destroying their bodies because they don’t want to be female. And I can think of lots of very compelling reasons why they don’t want to be female. But the solution isn’t to cut your breasts off and take testosterone. You can’t actually run away from yourself even if you try REALLY hard.

I saw these tweets the other day from a detransitioner which I thought were really powerful.

Does anyone know the teachers name and if they’d be willing to share here? I have a strange feeling I know who it is (someone kinda well known) but I could be way off base so don’t want to say who.

Also, the teacher is so ignorant that she doesn’t realise how offensive she is being about people with DSDs (intersex as she says but this itself is potentially offensive), who I’m sure do not see themselves as half male, half female and also, that it’s not an identity you can choose FFS. Like someone saying they identify as a cat is the same as a person born with a medical condition they have no control over.

Education has gone to shit if this is the state of teachers these days. It’s like she’s been to a cult retreat and they’ve rewired her brain to say these ludicrous and nonsensical things. I hope those young girls continue to fight the fight ✊ so many young people are completely brainwashed (or live in fear of questioning anything), so these young women are being very brave here and I applaud them.
I wish there was a name-change function on here, but there isn’t and Ive thought whether I should post this or not, but I’m incandescent so what the hell: I realised yesterday that one of my kids goes to a school in the same Trust (Aquinas Trust) as Rye College. I didn’t put two and two together until looking at Rye College Twitter and it says the name of the trust.
This is a C of E school, yet over the last few years, I’ve noticed it’s more a case of worshipping at the alter of gender ideology. Now, I’m not actually religious, but I chose this school because of its supposed nurturing values. Fortunately my child is older, but has also been reprimanded for being ‘transphobic’ for expressing the view that people can’t change sex and for saying that a boy who identifies as a girl shouldn’t be admitted to a single sex girls school. Recently another child in the class was told by the form tutor, “we agree with freedom of speech, but you're not allowed to make any transphobic comments.” (ie espouse gender critical views). Even in RS, they’re taught not to challenge trans ideology. They’ve also been advised to not read any of JK Rowling’s recent essays because ‘transphobia’. If they were a younger child, I’d have no hesitation in withdrawing them from there.

I had to go to a meeting with teams from across the UK yesterday. One woman (even though she's straight) is all about the they/them bollocks and objected to researchers trying to reach people via Mumsnet ads as it put off 'queer parents'.
In the break, a guy rushed over and I could hear their conversation. He was saying 'I've got a trans kid too. We're just waiting for a few years before top surgery overseas' this was met with the same kind of reaction as if he was doing back to back marathons for charity. Child abuse, pure and simple.

For me there is no need for the term cis at all. It means not trans. Why should we be redefined against transgenders, they trans, we don’t need a prefix we are women and men and non binaries who are aligned with trans anyway do not exist and are just needy, narcissistic victimhood hunters.
I agree wholeheartedly. I cannot stand being referring to as "cis" in any context and don't hold back from showing my anger.
---
His tweet doesn't make it clear if all instances of the words "cis" or "cisgender" are considered slurs, or if it's only certain scenarios - eg if you used it as part of an insult.

I can understand it being a slur if used at someone in a negative way, but surely if someone said "cisgender people make up 99% of the population" that wouldn't be deemed a slur? If it's still considered a slur in that scenario, that seems a really bizarre decision for someone who says he's pro freedom of speech.
The term "cis" is considered a slur by me and no one else has the right to tell me what should, or should not, offend me.

These men are utterly repulsive, deranged, abusive, selfish, disgusting individuals. I don't give a shit if you have to "live a lie" and not "be yourself", if you have children you set your own needs aside for their benefit.

To place this much value on dressing "like a woman" (a concept that is always time and culture bound anyway) is absolutely a serious mental disorder and should be treated as such, and I don't give a shit what anyone thinks. Why the fuck are we pandering to grimy little men and their gross paraphilias?

I'm not often glad I'm single but when I read stuff like that... apparently 3-6% of men have a crossdressing fetish and it's absolutely repellent. Not because I give a shit what anyone wears, far from it, but because it's clearly rooted in misogyny and the idea that womanhood means being "sissified", immobilised in heels, trussed up in lingerie, submissive. It's as far removed from womanhood as these men are from sanity and reality.

This numpty thinks Andy Murray should tell his mother not to read Sharron Davies book 🤣

I would bet my house that Andy Murray gives fuck-all credence to gender woo 🤣🤣🤣

He’s is quite possibly the most pragmatically minded human being on the planet. And a fabulous advocate for women in sport.

I’ll never get bored of him correcting misogynist John Inverdale (who, despite looking like the arse-end of a farm animal himself, said it was a good job Marion Bartoli was good at tennis as ‘she was never going to be a looker’) when he apparently forgot that women’s tennis exists:

---
Also, the steaming misogyny of ‘male person, explain to your female relative why she’s wrong and stupid before she does or says something I don’t like’ is fucking shameful.
