If you’re sick of the anti pride stuff, may I respectfully suggest that the LGB movement campaign for the removal of the rest of the alphabet people from Pride ? None of us on here are anti Pride, we are just fed up of men pretending to be women tagging themselves on to what was a very important movement.I didn't mean on here; my comment was more general about right wing media after reading some screenshots from that rag.![]()
I'm just sick of all the anti Pride stuff and, like it or not, the "community" (for want of a better phrase) gets it in the neck when it comes to most of the criticism. Pride month is over now, but the likes of the DM will still keep trotting out their faux outrage.
As an aside, I read your post right after I'd read the LGB thread and thought I was on there for a minute. I'm trying to get better at just ignoring stuff that annoys me, but sometimes I find it hard haha.
Totally this.I’ve seen very recently that the Prince and Princess of Wales have posted in support of Pride and I was very surprised to see a lot of criticism for them because of that. It was saddening to see that some people are just straight up homophobic BUT I also saw a lot of comments that people were against the TQ+ aspect, rather than the LGB part of pride. For the sake of LGB people, it would be so great if the trans movement would step away from them, and pursue their own causes rather than piggybacking off LGB activism. It just seems SO UNFAIR to gay people that a backlash is coming on to them because of the deranged antics of TRAs. Sorry if I haven’t articulated myself clearly. Reading some of those comments, I would feel so disheartened if I were gay.
Oof she followed all the typical roads, didn't she? Arguing, mixing up science with 'feelings', speaking over, getting flustered, trying to stick to the script, then when that fails: threaten with authority, calling the girls bigots.Good for those girls for sticking up for what they believe in!
Adoption, especially infant adoption as practised in the US with pre-birth matching, has lots of ethical problems itself.i do find it odd he has adopted two babies who are 4 months apart in age.
I think it’s fucking tragic. What's your thoughts on women becoming men? I have a colleague whose daughter was firstly lesbian then wanted to be a man. This was since 14. She's 20 now and having top surgery, hormones etc. The talk on here seems to be about men becoming women. I feel like in my friends case, it's about some home life trauma she went through. She changed her mind so much throughout her teens I worry what will happen when she has full surgery if she changes her mind again. Thanks for having me, I'm new but love your posts here and I've learned a lot. I've just got my name badge pronouns removed. Lol.
I wish there was a name-change function on here, but there isn’t and Ive thought whether I should post this or not, but I’m incandescent so what the hell: I realised yesterday that one of my kids goes to a school in the same Trust (Aquinas Trust) as Rye College. I didn’t put two and two together until looking at Rye College Twitter and it says the name of the trust.Does anyone know the teachers name and if they’d be willing to share here? I have a strange feeling I know who it is (someone kinda well known) but I could be way off base so don’t want to say who.
Also, the teacher is so ignorant that she doesn’t realise how offensive she is being about people with DSDs (intersex as she says but this itself is potentially offensive), who I’m sure do not see themselves as half male, half female and also, that it’s not an identity you can choose FFS. Like someone saying they identify as a cat is the same as a person born with a medical condition they have no control over.
Education has gone to shit if this is the state of teachers these days. It’s like she’s been to a cult retreat and they’ve rewired her brain to say these ludicrous and nonsensical things. I hope those young girls continue to fight the fightso many young people are completely brainwashed (or live in fear of questioning anything), so these young women are being very brave here and I applaud them.
I agree wholeheartedly. I cannot stand being referring to as "cis" in any context and don't hold back from showing my anger. For me there is no need for the term cis at all. It means not trans. Why should we be redefined against transgenders, they trans, we don’t need a prefix we are women and men and non binaries who are aligned with trans anyway do not exist and are just needy, narcissistic victimhood hunters.
The term "cis" is considered a slur by me and no one else has the right to tell me what should, or should not, offend me.His tweet doesn't make it clear if all instances of the words "cis" or "cisgender" are considered slurs, or if it's only certain scenarios - eg if you used it as part of an insult.
I can understand it being a slur if used at someone in a negative way, but surely if someone said "cisgender people make up 99% of the population" that wouldn't be deemed a slur? If it's still considered a slur in that scenario, that seems a really bizarre decision for someone who says he's pro freedom of speech.
These men are utterly repulsive, deranged, abusive, selfish, disgusting individuals. I don't give a shit if you have to "live a lie" and not "be yourself", if you have children you set your own needs aside for their benefit.Sorry it's a DM link - this man ruined the lives of his wife and children
