Does anyone know what lotuseaters.com is about? I’ve seen them on Reddit and they have some gender critical posts but their website isn’t working. Wonder if anyone here has come across them

And your first point: yes and no, but mostly no.
“Smoking a fag” means shooting a gay guy in America and inhaling a cigarette in the UK. Should we ban the phrase “smoking a fag” or just the word “fag” in the UK because of connotations from America, a younger country with younger practices and language?

Oh I love Datalounge. We’ve probably argued on there without knowing it. 😂

I think comparing events/situations with words or phrases is a false equivalence. Though to answer your question, I’m not in favour of banning any words, though I wouldn’t use that word myself.
