I don't agree with everything she says but this line is great -

"One of the handy effects of wokeism is that it conveniently ignores class as a form of privilege. So if you went to a fee-paying school, but then identify as ‘queer’ or an ‘ally’, you can then behave as if you had a tougher start than, say, JK Rowling."

Going back to the two TIFs I mentioned earlier - the artist Gray and her girlfriend. The girlfriend is from an incredibly posh, privileged UK family but now that she's a trans-man of course she can pontificate at length on how discriminated against she is. (Asa Seresin - writes Butler-style gobbledygook).

I remember when I was getting my Covid vaccine (maybe the second or third one so around 2021?) there was an elderly man across from me when I was waiting and the Dr asked if there could be a chance he could be pregnant. The elderly man looked really upset, almost distraught. After he left the doctor was rubbing his hands around his eyes and the nurse said to him ‘you had to do, we all have to ask now, just in case we get reported’.
It was bloody stupid. Even if you go along with the delusion that men can be pregnant, surely there is an age cut off like with women? A man in his 80s most definitely wouldn’t be.
I work in healthcare and for what I do we have a list of questions we ask everyone and we have to ask women of childbearing age if they could be pregnant. Tbh it’s so much easier to just ask everyone (except the young kids) as we are so in the flow of our “script” that it can sometimes be off putting not asking! I’ve found that most men just laugh it off.

However now with the rise of this ideology that anyone can be pregnant, I will probably stop asking everyone as I wouldn’t want people to feel like we are implying that we are all of the same belief.

I think the point is, if women over child bearing age aren’t asked, then why would elderly men be asked ?
I’d love to be a fly on the wall if someone asked my 88 year old Dad 😂

I can’t tell if those comments are real or just sarcastic and taking the mick. Welcome to social media in 2023 folks (sorry folx) 😂

Yeah I know 😂 defo think some are real and some are like us lot and agree with him. I love Stephen King and really hope he sticks to his views on this like JK. The more public figures the better.

My husband was talking about a new Sam Smith video. His comment was he's not trans, he's just a large f&#ker with moobs (y):ROFLMAO:

Couldn't agree more

SK is one of my biggest disappointments in this whole debacle. He’s had run ins with JKR over it and bleats TWAW. He knows about courage and truth and bravery, he writes it beautifully - why can’t he live it? He’s far too big and rich to be cancelled.
Expect a reverse ferret apology tweet from him any moment now…..

I don't know if any of you are aware of a terrible YouTuber called Mr Beast. My children tell me that one of his crew of annoying sycophants has started identifying as a woman "but it's awkward because he was the all-American, "I love barbecue" one and now he's in nail varnish and lipstick and not funny any more" - so from now on at our house "they've lost their taste for barbecue" is shorthand for going trans.
Im not a fan of the channel other than knowing the name and the basic premise, but apparently the guy in question has left some really disturbing comments online that are being looked into, including calling a 4 year old child “hot”.

Clown world 🙃 Good on him for standing up to the nonsense!
If I get asked this question I’m going to say I don’t know and see where the conversation goes from there (although it’s a shame for the staff because in @thegirlscout story the staff seem to think it’s ridiculous too).

Spineless and pathetic. Seriously, if you don’t want to get “dragged into” the “debate” then do a Will Smith “and keep JK’s name out your bleeping mouth”. He could just…I don’t know…not tweet about her. Philip Pullman is another one. Makes a tweet slagging off JK and then making a flood of other tweets after saying “I just don’t understaaaaaand any of this”.

This is really interesting in the role Elon Musk in playing in allowing free speech and putting a spanner in the Gender take-over. Go bloody Elon!

The gender critical position differs in one key area from the conservative political position in the gender wars, and that is in its unwillingness to compromise about sex in law in any way. Conservatives will sometimes engage in a kind of ‘meet halfway’ discussion about accommodating ‘trans people’ in women’s spaces.

Gender-critical people like myself are not just opposed to the gigantean-titted manual arts teacher making headlines lately, we don’t just want boys out of girl’s sport, we are opposed to the category of gender identity in law completely. Gender identity is such a useful category for government, neither side is likely to want to remove it completely without broad-scale popular resistance.

I just mentioned him on the Dylan Mulvaney thread. His takeover of Twitter is what’s getting more and more people talking about this. I guess it also shows how powerful that website is, even though the vast majority of the world don’t even use it.

Who's going to be looking after all these unwanted babies? Is the state going to pay for them all? I despair at this crap.
banning procedures like terminations doesn’t stop them happening, it just drives it underground. I wouldn’t be surprised if you could buy the necessary pills through a shady dealer.

It’s wrong on so many levels. Firstly pregnancy and delivery can be hard, even fatal, and to force that upon someone who doesn’t want a baby is just cruel. Then you have the poor babies who probably won’t have 40+ weeks of prenatal care and a mother who doesn’t follow a healthy diet or stays sober. I don’t know what studies there are on unwanted babies but they must know or feel a sense of being unwanted. I know hospitals push skin to skin contact asap to help with bonding so there must be some evidence that newborns benefit from it as well as it just be being good for milk production.

I've been asked to speak at a careers fair about my healthcare role. I initially turned it down because the woman who asked me (has a woman's name, clearly a woman in her profile pic) has her pronouns displayed really prominently in her email signature.

But now that I've thought about it, I might just do it, if only to see how many times I can squeeze the word "woman" into my speech! (I work in women's health, so probably quite a lot 🤣🤣)
