yeah I have nothing in common with a trans person, i have never had gender issues and it is insulting to suggest gender has anything to do with sexuality. totally different experience. and even when i go to LGBT events I'm forced to listen to trans people's problems, sorry but i don't give a duck. if anyone is ignored in society and not even a
After gay marriage was legalised the LGB charities had achieved legal equality for LGB people they didn't have anything to campaign for and were at risk of becoming irrelevant and broke. In 2015 the T approached Stonewall and paid to have the T tagged onto the LGB. Once stonewall accepted the money and the T was added in 2016, then all the other charities/organisations followed.
It’s like trade unions, if all their members were happy, they wouldn’t exist. They have to stir up dissent to justify their jobs 😡

I'm sad about Paul O'Grady's death too, I liked his radio show and Lily Savage was hilarious. There is stuff in the obits about how Paul campaigned for "LGBT" issues, but I can tell you one thing...Lily Savage would never have gone into a women's toilet. That was the whole joke, she would stand at a urinal, in her short skirt and high heels, and insult any man who dared to make a comment. Lily wasn't a woman-hating TiM, she hated everyone!

This is not a parody account.

Why don’t they say transwoman? Why?

The TIF school shooter has really revealed such a lot about how the media are willing to report on trans people committing crimes.

I saw an interesting tweet this morning. They said that when it comes to changing your sex “caste”, you can’t trade up (aka FTM) but you can step down (aka MTF).

And that says everything you need to know about sexism.

I'm waiting for the drag queens to wake up so we can hear all about how much he did for drag acceptance.

I'm loving Amanda Abbington. She's gone full TERF of late and cares not a jot. Willoughby gets more demented by the day.
She really has. What I love is that, like a lot of famous women on Twitter, she said a few terfy things, got absolutely ROASTED, then apologised profusely and said she’d educate herself. So she did, and came back even terfier 🙌

Making the rules up to suit themselves yet again.

RIP Paul O’Grady
He was a true drag queen. He knew he was a man and Lily Savage was a character.

Paul O'Grady has died, I loved his For the love of Dogs show. I can't recall much of the Lily Savage stuff but I know he done good for the gay community and used Lily to fundraise - think some of his stuff might have been seen as slightly risky on telly but tongue in cheek and not creepy?

But of course the TRAs are already using to attack GCs - Lily Savage was nothing like drag story hour or whatever it's called and certainly never claimed to be female

RIP Paul
I used to live next door to Paul when I lived in Kent. Genuinely a lovely, decent guy who always smelt amazing!

Lily Savage was never meant to be a woman or called she. Certainly was never intended to be insulting to women. That said I've always been anti-drag and find it very insulting, I told him so and he completely understood. RIP Paul, he was one of the good ones.

"I don't know what she was battling... but I knew it was a mental thing, you know?" Ms Patton said.

Wait a minute. Is the “local tv personality and influencer” going to get castigated for misgendering?
nope. It’s ok to misgender a woman. But misgendering a man is literal violence.

(I don’t believe in misgendering btw, just highlighting the double standards and sexism).

They should use trans identified male and not include the word woman in refence to the males at all. It is not that they aren't willing to (In some cases) it is the IPSO guidance, which thankfully, is under review.

does the IPSO guidance only apply to reporting on people who are in the UK? I don’t understand why every media outlet is referring to Audrey as ‘she’ and not ‘he/Aiden’ when all this time it was believed they have no choice but to call TIM/TW ‘she’ because of IPSO.
