I follow a popular Instagram account that posts stuff from magazines that were popular with teen girls/young women in the 1990s and early 2000s (like Bliss, Mizz, Sugar, More, J17 etc.) They just published something from mid-1990s with recommendations for lipstick colours similar to those worn by celebrities. There was a picture of Eddie Izzard and I can't help thinking, wasn't it nice when he was just a man in lipstick and we didn't have to pretend he's a woman or a "she/her"

Wasn't it nice when the internet hadn't made middle aged men sissy porn addicts and everyone knew what a woman really is?
