I just can't believe the arrogance of some of these elected officials.

Arrogance extending to believing the law is wrong, and that they and others do not have to follow laws they don't like, nor agree with.

Of course, laws that they do believe are 'correct', we are all expected to follow without question.

So the sheer double standards also pisses me right off.

I seriously hope some of these individuals have legal action forthcoming.

Could not care less of public money is at stake. It is now for these individuals to justify why they think wasting public money is beneficial on defending nonsense, falling on their swords as a result.
If they had to put their own cash on the line the buggers wouldn't be so keen to do this.

I don't even mind if they think the law is wrong. They're entitled to. But if it's wrong they need to say why it's wrong - they need to face their electorate and say why they think it's wrong that women should be entitled to spaces away from men. And then they need to campaign to change the law in a democratic manner. And they need to explain to the electorate (face to face at public events) at every bleeping step why it's wrong and be honest with women that they don't think they should be entitled to their rights.
There are processes in place within parliament to change things, you can't just decide you don't like a law and not follow it. Especially not if you are an elected MP, councillor or mayor.

Thanks for pointing out that this is sexual assault, that would've been my first line if you hadn't got there first. @Onestorytoomany - I'm sorry that your friend thinks it's funny that you were assaulted in full view of everyone. I'm sure this made a horrible situation more confusing and embarrassing that it already was.
Why are men? Just Urgh.
I think she thought it was part of the song, as I Said he was doing like a comedy song, i was mostly just shocked as it completely blind sided me as it came out of nowhere. Thank you everyone for your kind words of support. I thought at the time I was silly for being sensitive too it, but when I think back I still remember how uncomfortable and shocked I was.

I just don’t get how various denominations of the church are so captured, or why they even have to comment at all. It’s an ideology that’s been around for less than 20 years yet all these centuries old institutions are falling over themselves to demonstrate their enthrall to it.

Can they tell us why God is putting people into "the wrong bodies"?
God is supposedly infallible, so is he just doing it for the laughs? Is he bored after a few billion years of creation?

Did anyone else not know this was a thing?

Wish I had told my friend whos a UK Civil servant that she should have said she was trans

" Until now, transgender employees could take up to 13 weeks of special leave in a rolling 12-month period for medical treatment and recovery related to gender identity without it being counted as sick leave. "

Yeah, I’d heard about that, I don’t know who the woman was but someone gave a speech about it at (I think) a Let Women Speak event. It means that a ‘trans woman’ can have extra paid leave after having a boob job but if a cancer survivor has reconstructive surgery she has to take it out of her annual leave or not get paid.

Saw this on FB, I can’t read the whole article as it’s behind a paywall, but I thought this quote from it is so true. How have we got to the stage that people really think they can just claim their way out of biological reality? That biological sex doesn’t exist, but all these weird self obsessed genders do. How can the likes of Webberley claim that some women are born with penises? It doesn’t make sense to me, never has and never will.
It’s strange that so many captured organisations like the police, fire service and NHS also have terrible track records of misogyny. They cannot treat female staff decently and have bad track records of bullying and inappropriate sexual behaviour towards them, yet they are falling over themselves to make sure that men in dresses are prioritised over actual women.
Its so bloody depressing.

The networks warned if the changes went ahead they would no longer “represent the Civil Service, support recruitment activity or promote it as an inclusive employer for LGBTQ+ colleagues in any capacity”.

cry me a bleeping river

Yet my sister a nurse couldn’t get help with IVF treatment it was all classed as sick leave and then when she had her baby she had unpaid maternity leave.

Should be sanctioned for not upholding law!
Should be out of post - no continual law-breaker should hold a post in local or national government, especially when s/he brags about breaking the law and broadcasts that they will continue to break it.

This isn't breaking the law and regretting it and making amends - this is deliberate flouting of the law.

What a shame no women have ever been involved in this intricate traditional craft.
