I’ve got some trans friends and they HATE the hand maidens who fawn over them and act like they’re the second coming of Christ. The same ones who a lick drag queens and gay people. My husband is VERY opinionated and believes that people are entitled to their own spaces regardless of what they look like now. They could look like the prettiest woman in the world but if you have a pen, you go to the men’s. Simple. If you were born a boy, you can’t compete in women’s sports. You can’t take a woman’s job. You can’t take anything away that should belong to a woman and that’s just being fair. And he’s said that. We have a daughter and he will take to the streets for her if it comes to it. He’s a very proud girl dad and if anyone was to hurt her because of stupid laws and hurty words, I feel sorry for them.

I think it probably is a kid, just based on the fact that there's so many Mums of young kids who have joined GATE, and are pushing this on kids, as are guides themselves, a fair few have trans kids too, and a large proportion are they/thems etc.
The whole organisation is a captured mess.

Suzanne Moore's anger and frustration with Phillipson and Starmer's cowardice is almost palpable in this article. And who can blame her? I genuinely don't know how we move forward when the govt is too scared to implement the law. I feel so deflated but I know that we can't let them wear us down.

Oh bloody hell, I need to vent. Just caught up with an old friend who I haven’t spoken to for years. We started talking about politics and I basically told her my main concern politically was standing up for women’s sex based rights and how the press, institutions etc were all captured by gender ideology.
She started talking about one of her friends who took the difficult and brave decision to transition (MtF of course). How it had hit him suddenly when he was required to dress up in a costume for a role and realised he felt much more comfortable in a dress and had never realised before that all his internal angst must have been caused by being a repressed ‘transsexual’. I was trying to be diplomatic, but ended up by telling her to look up autogynephilia.
She’s like, “he’s really not like that, he has a high powered job and he’s wife’s stuck by him. He didn’t take the decision likely’ (she used ‘she/her to talk about him). Turns out he’s had the surgery, so I conceded that yes, he probably did have a genuine mental illness, but he would never know what it was like to ‘feel like a woman’. She then said she does feel that although there are a lot of bandwagon-jumpers, some people are ‘genuinely born in the wrong body.’ I said, that’s impossible but there are some people who are genuinely dysphoric just as there are some people who genuinely believe they have to amputate a healthy limb.
We didn’t fall out over it, but once again I found myself questioning how an intelligent person can fall for this bull.

My mum, sister, brother, nephew and niece are like this. It absolutely baffles me that otherwise intelligent people can be so blinkered on this subject, their only response is to turn it into a political issue.
