I am proud to say my colleagues are a load of transphobic bigots. Ranging from 20's -50's.

It came up because of a 'woman' crime situation, absolutely none of them buying into it at all.

I definitely think that’s there’s a huge push to normalise more and more extreme behaviours. These absolutely vile men are bringing their perversions out into the open. Can you imagine the reaction 20 years ago compared with now? Back in the day, they wouldn’t have dared publicly reveal their depravities and would have been condemned by men and women alike.

Now there’s this gradual push to openly flout more and more extreme behaviour. Their brains are addled by porn ( never, ever watched it myself but I think it’s exploitive, damaging and disgusting-I don’t see sex as a spectator sport even if it interested me- it doesn’t). Now, it’s people who object that are shamed. There’s what I call the “prude shaming”. No one dare express any disgust or have boundaries otherwise be called a prude like it’s the worst thing in the world. What goes on between consenting adults is up to them, but I don’t want to know anything about it, nor do I want to be an unwilling participant in some sick creatures fetish. If that means I’m a prude, good. I’d rather have boundaries.

That's the difference between now & 20yrs ago. Access to porn has become far too easy. Boundaries are crossed & blurred. What are we left with? The decimation of society thanks to the patriarchy and their ever sickening fantasies. We are becoming numb to what we should be outraged by; its only going to get worse & as far as I can see its at the expense of women and children.

Well this autism conversation is close to home for me. Four of my household have an (NHS) diagnosis. My youngest was diagnosed at 3 and it’s bloody hard, constant fighting for appropriate educational provision and DLA/PIP. No one who is not living with it day in and day out can understand the impact IMO.

My older 2 (now young adults) who are more Asperger’s profile are embarrassed about it and never tell anyone (though people tend to assume anyway). On paper they are incredibly bright, but struggle socially and organisationally. They hate the way ASD is being co-opted as kind of trendy. At one of my son’s universities, there was a whole autism pride day where people were encouraged to wear rainbow bloody badges (rainbow as in spectrum). It made him cringe so much, he never mentioned his diagnosis to anyone, even though it would have benefited his tutors to know why he struggled so much to talk in seminars.

ETA on the plus side, they hate things being misrepresented and are very factual so have no truck with the trans shite

Same here. I watch older stuff. Heartbeat, All Creatures Great and Small (the original one), Agatha Christie's Poirot and Miss Marple stories, and suchlike. It's comfort viewing, and I can rely on nothing horrible or disgusting, appearing on it.

Thank goodness I have met my people glad to see it’s not just me.
