My son is a very sensitive kid who is definitely not gay, but he gets bullied for being sensitive. He gets bullied for wearing colorful clothes. He likes to wear pink and purple. He gets bullied for liking cats. He was bullied for figure skating, not just by other boys, but by parents. Same thing when he did Irish dancing. He’s been bullied for standing up for the girls being objectified in school. He used to love playing with baby dolls and his stuffed animals where he would be the daddy. I cannot tell you how many times people told me that that was wrong. He is bullied for essentially not being a hyper masculine little mole.

Growing up in the 90s, I remember being told I can do and dress and be whoever I wanted. I had a tomboy phase and it was like I was God because I stopped wearing dresses for a while and that was so great apparently. I think it’s a big problem we do not do the same for boys and instead we throw them in boxes. No wonder a lot of them feel messed up or end up victims of red pill incel philosophy that they just eat up.

As a woman without a daughter, I noticed I have become kind of stereotypically feminine as I have no one to share that side of myself with.
Your boy sounds amazing! People may laugh at him doing Irish dancing and figure skating but they don’t realise the amount of stamina you need for those sports! Most people struggle to stand on ice but your son is doing dance moves on it! And I’m sorry just look at Michael Flatley to know Irish dancing means your son is around girls all day, which some boys will laugh at now but be jealous of when they’re older!
You’re doing fantastic as a parent and showing your son it’s ok to not be into the tonka trucks and football. He’s a modern boy who’ll be a modern man with a woman in his future that will appreciate his mum for bringing him up the way you did!

I was wondering whether it's private or not. There are girls only and boys only Grammar Schools in the Cheshire/Greater Manchester area.
There are girls and boys only Grammar schools in Essex as well. State schools, but as applications are so high, the pupils need to pass and 11+ exam to attend.

Just thinking about your son, he sounds a bit like one of my brothers. Brother was a skinny, shy kid who did musical theatre and didn't care what anyone thought.
This was back in the 70s, too.
He's turned out to be a giant of a man and is still kind of sensitive but I've never seen a man treat his wife as well as he treats my SIL.
I think your son sounds like he's going to be a fine man.

Great article on the Greens

That was very interesting, though I did have to chuckle at the parting remark

Still, Polanski can cling to one small hope. Most of his party’s policies are so preposterous that voters may assume that their opponents have simply made them up.

It's scary to think in a choice between Greens and Reform, that Reform seems the better option as at least you know what you're getting. Greens are a wolf in sheep's clothing.

He sounds amazing. I hate bullies with the heat of a thousand fiery suns but they are usually kids who are having their own problems and can’t stand someone who has other interests.

Instagram has a load of boys who dance in ballet and are showing off their athleticism and strength and humour and they get to hang out with all the girls. Let’s not forget Baryshnikov who was one of my hunks of the 70s despite being about 5 ft nothing and a ballet dancer.

I know there are a lot devils around social media but there are also nice corners where people can share their interests without bullies. And also here where we rant to a supportive audience.

BIB - I have also read that Michael Flatley is a serial shagger (of women) and has many, many notches on his bedpost. As @funkimunki1984 says - there'll be plenty of lads jealous of this boy's opportunities in a few years time!

Dancing and ice skating of any type requires a degree of fitness that most of us can't get anywhere near. It's awful that @ellebee27 's son has to put up with an atmosphere of bullying - especially when it is coming from adults who should know better - but he'll reap a harvest of better overall fitness than those "man's men" who spend hours at the gym building only muscle and no flexibility and pumping their bodies full of steroids as many do.

Great article on the Greens

Up to now, Polanski and his friends have been allowed to play politics on easy mode. Thanks to widespread ignorance of their loonier views, they’ve managed to cobble together a farcically incoherent electoral coalition of radical Islamists, trans fanatics and white middle-class useful idiots who think that voting Green simply shows how kind and caring they are. The belated advent of real scrutiny, however, is liable to put this implausible alliance under desperate strain. In effect, then, the Greens’ recent success could actually lead to their downfall.

Let’s hope some of the other politicians do manage to convey to the wider public some of the Green’s current policies and their implications, particularly for women (self id; the legalisation of all drugs, including ‘date-grape’ drugs; scrapping the Prevent programme; dismantling the Home Office).

This is a man who has transed his son.
He's spoken of doing his Uni dissertation on gender woo years before he had a child, it's absolutely sickening.
That poor wee boy.

That wee boy looks haunted. I’ve not seen a child with such dark rings round their eyes. Poor wee soul 💔

That poor wee boy.
That kid looks absolutely exhausted.
And he wasn't upset at being misgendered at nursery, he was bleeping confused because mummy and daddy kept calling him a girl but the nursery staff referred to him as male.
Poor mixed up kid. He doesn't stand a chance with a narcissistic parent like that. I bet they and all their friends think they're so cool, edgy and open minded.
Interesting that they gaslit the grandparents and threatened that they couldn't see the child if they didn't accept what was being done to their grandson.
Special corner of hell for these bleeps.

Exactly the type of person Helen Joyce spoke about who will never be able to admit the damage they've done to their child.

The petition is taking a long time to gain any kind of traction. The only reference to a date is a blog from the end of October when it had 60000 signatures. Not quite the same rate as the Stop the PB trial one.

Maybe the should get one of their "right side of history" celebs to share it, after all they are the majority. 😛

This has been around almost a year now. It was set up after the Supreme Court ruling. The LGBTQWTF staff network where I work, were doing allyship training last year and encouraging people to sign up to it. Considering my workplace still hasn't implemented the Supreme Court ruling I don't think anyone needs to sign up to a meaningless statement to show allyship.
