he was actually likeable when he started out, just a chill bloke reviewing some food at some interesting places with the odd fast food place/ chainDoes he have some connections? It seems odd that he grew so fast without help. Is he a plant?

I cant think of any 3* that would allow any full reviews like he does especially ones so low brow. Even at Simon Rogan's he did clips and edited it but didn't make a fuss because he didn't full send the click bait back then like Danny's attempt at HarvesterIt’s making me wonder about the likes of Gordon, Rick etc. Gordon’s people wouldn’t let him film in the last place?
Also, that palace place and the food poisoning one, can’t see them wanting any sort of attention!
Has he done anymore banking ads since that big one he done a while back?
It does make me look back and wonder why he goes so overboard with what is clearly not that amazing, interesting.
Oh don’t get me on him I’ve got an electric Porsche Taycan oooo it’s crap ooooo it’s lost a lot of money ooo it doesn’t get as many miles from a charge as they said ooo I’m in a financial hole with this ooo it’s nowhere near as good as a petrol one oooo I’ve gone and got another brand new one ………….Macmasters got them...
Just review the quality, cooking, price such as £2 for each sauce etc. value for money, final bill and mark it out of ten.(Like normal).and the Steak for a pound was just misleading it wasn't a pound he spend about £60 on two little portions of slop fair play to him for giving £20 to feed the kids but he didnt have to do that on camera
Exactly. Like, does it have go faster stripes down the sides. Or a racer boy nice, loud, blown exhaust. Or a private number plate: WA11Y G4RYHe could have gotten an extra 4 or 5 minutes worth of film, if only he had told us more about his Fiesta![]()
I think it's a disgrace, and a disgusting exploitation of dangerous parasocial relationships.Anyone noticed how many sponsor adverts Green is slipping in ? And the buy me a coffee thing keeps popping up he can fuck right off and stop saying Greeno Towers ffs.
I used to like him (ish) up until he gave the Chinese woman £500 on camera to look like a good Samaritan ( I've just said this on RMT thread, I didn't realise Gary had his own)I used to like Gary and his videos and still do enjoy the odd couple, back when they were simple, light hearted, checking out some of the good food this country has to offer in both well known and hidden gem establishments (for those I could let the odd fast food chain slide as theyre not somewhere i go anymore so it can be interesting to see current trends). But the descent into rage bait slop is disgusting, manifesting into half the comments on that latest potential food poisoning curry takeaway being racist shit (at the time of writing this they hadn't been removed). The misleading titles and not to mention the stupid shocked or deep in thought thumbnails that've been out of trend for, in social content terms, an age. The pop up table also has to be one of the dumbest gimmicks I've seen in quite some time yet he and danny seem to think its the most original and hilarious bit in decades. It definitely feels like that group who seem to have gravitated together (though Harrison seems to have managed to be intelligent enough to steer clear of what i'll be generous and call bad content decisions) are feeding off eachother and using one anothers ideas in a race to the bottom.
And I know its clearly a winning formulae views wise for him but jesus christ is he going for the Guinness book of records achievement for most fish and chip shops reviewed?! How can you not be bored making the same thing over and over let alone being a viewer. Going back to my point of unoriginality with every single one apparently being either the best or worst in history if the titles are to be believed
Finally, as someone who actually works in the restaurant industry and not someone who as far as I think we've been informed didn't just grow up with parents who owned a pub? (feel free to correct me if more info has been given in a video I've missed) some parts are outright (I think intentionally) dishonest. Specifically when referring to things as 'not worth the money' or 'overpriced' etc (I grant you in some cases eg Salt Bae restaurant this is fair and true). I say intentionally dishonest because in some videos he acknowledges costs of rent, running, wages, quality of produce etc but in others its ignored entirely i presume to get the reaction of a lot of people who don't think about those things with the 'oh i could make that at home for half the money' mindsets. A recent example that comes to mind would be where he's reviewing i believe a hotel cafe that serves 'the most expensive pastries in the country' then comparing it to Greggs, without any consideration of location, atmosphere, the experience of a highly trained brigade of patissiers, the high quality ingredients vs takeaway, made by a machine, frozen, with the cheapest ingredients possible to keep margins high, Greggs. The industry especially now needs much better ambassadors, not people/wannabe influencers slagging it off.
Without too much stretch of the imagination in Garry's very formulaic shtick: 'has he got too big for his boots? I'll let you decide. Buh bye' *walks off muttering to myself into the distance while trying to dodge people and/or traffic*
Once a YouTuber get 1000 subscribers, they can monetise their channel. So he has probably been earning money for ages.Although he says he doesn't make much money from Youtube! Wonder why some vloggers say this as others with not that many subscribers live very well from their channels. Travel Trolls, Butlers Empire Greeno to name a few. Maybe Gary feels uncomfortable making so much money?
Think that's the first time i've seen him do an ad like that in any of his videos that is not a youtube injected one.He did a big ad in the middle of the Ramsay review(s) for a banking app.
Indeed. He was in my husband's suggested list waaaay back when, when he had about 1k if that subs - it was kind of meteoric and a bit mesmerising to watch the vids and see it climb and climb. I remember saying to my husband that this must be an offshoot channel. The production shots were there from the off, which as we now know is entirely down to his son. As has been said on this thread - Gary is a useless food reviewer - there's a lot he doesn't like and he ran out of words a long time ago.He isn't doing too badly, for someone who started his channel in 2023.
Hopefully he'll never leave.Tonight's video that village is like the land that time forgot
Think he landed up in Royston Vassey![]()
thats who the 'special' guest was ? jesus. It'd be laughable if it wern't so direYep, together with another Big Unit, aka 'Street Food Man' or suchlike? That cafe looks rank - the kitchen's archaic.
Crap content.
ETA: Street Food Analysis. I use five spice seasoning, it's nothing new. Bellends.
