id like to know what kind of footfall increase you get from a review from an influencer like Gary or Danny. It must work for some places, but that place in Brentford said they came for the free food then business dried up again.

given how many if not the majority of the reviews are now negative i cant imagine its much, even if theyre good remote locations wont see much increase. Especially as the majority of the audience are now of the 'eating out is a rip off, i can do it for a tenth of the cost at home' brigade, which is largely what led me to making the comments about how danny, gary and such others are actually damaging an already at its knees hospitality industry

Mr. Daisy was watching that as he likes watching Gary's videos and he told me apparently someone called him a fraud and how they saw him at Waitrose or something? And apparently someone squared up to him and he had to push him away? It might all be complete made up BS for views so I'd take what he says with a pinch of salt.

That video was embarrassing. Si King was speaking earnestly and knowledgeably about the food and the venue he'd chosen, meanwhile Gary is clearly not listening and acting the fool making stupid faces about drinking a negroni. Even my husband who is normally more forgiving of him than I am said it was glaringly obvious that for the bigger restauranty hitters, it was just respective management teams who'd got in touch with one another rather than Gary being great mates with them.

I agree with all that I like Si and will have a look at his YouTube channel when it arrives.

His recent video with the English guy (can't remember his name, they went to man's sandwiches) was just weird to watch, their relationship seemed weirdly tense like you could see Mark annoyed they other guy didn't immediately hold everything up to the camera. I've always wondered about marks relationship with food, he seems so thin and drawn for someone who eats so much, that and his eye rolling obsession with food

I watched the whole video and I thought the whole thing was complete nonsense. He said someone is sending his mother abuse online (how?) and people in his hometown (which he's never publicly stated and we don't know where it is) followed him around Waitrose and shouted at him and said they'd 'do him'. He also said Danny from rate my takeaway went to someones workplace to confront someone who was allegedly sending him abuse online and said that was the right thing to do.
