Yeah. that's what gets me. He had a 12 year olds understanding of money. How hard it is to earn it, what the average person makes and what they have to do to get it and then just how expensive these things are that he's getting for free - well for content!
When they last went to Paris they were sorta looking down on it. 'Only' a jaunt to Paris for a few days. This California holiday was about 10K for a week - imagine him getting out of bed to earn that.

I just finished his video and I am appalled. Gary’s habit has verred from “collecting” and into “hoarding”. Rabidly showing off paper plates he swiped from a restaurant and the post-it notes that the cleaner left them.

I don’t think we’ve ever seen the exterior (even in that iconic ‘documentary’ where that YouTuber lived with Gary) but I always imagine the Caplehorn household to look like Onslow’s place in Keeping Up Appearances:

He has shown his backyard and yes their house is exactly like Daisy and Onslows, most council houses are built from the same plan (even new builds estates are basically the same with a larger kitchen and more loos) so that's not surprising. And I have friends now getting 400K mortgages to buy one of them so he better get into the will and get that house lol I wouldn't think it's as shabby on the outside but his bedroom is on the way to Hoarders level.
My parents live in the same type of house and if you don't use something for 6 months my mam throws it out! No stacks of boxes or clutter allowed in her rooms!
