The BBC reports the Petito family sued for emotional distress because the Laundries didn’t disclose that Brian had admitted to killing her. I suspect they were just trying to get them on whatever they could and did this because it’s easily claimable in a civil case.Having now seen the Netflix series I'm convinced Brian's parents knew precisely what he did to poor Gabby.
Those phone records were damming. Making calls THEN hiring a lawyer & not working with the police were all red flags.
I'm pretty sure it was no coincidence either that they 'found' him. I mean imagine that as a complete stranger let alone being a loved one. His condition was dire too.
Gabbys family were exemplary throughout.
