One of my favourite episodes overall is Phoebe's wedding and Chandler gets to walk her up the aisle while Ross ends up holding the dog.

Im watching the one when the girls put wedding dresses on and someone knocks the door and they think it's chandler and they say the groom shouldn't see the bride and Rachel says you're not going to marry chandler and Phoebe says "well not after this" which is mad because obviously Monica goes on to marry chandler.

I laugh every single time when Rachel opens the door, in her wedding dress, I DOOOOOOOOOOO

I’ve gone through stages of which of the boys were my favourite, but it’s been Ross the last few years and probably won’t change now.

Apart from the obvious episodes, Unagi, My Sandwich etc, my favourite he’s in is The One with Monica’s Thunder.

His reaction to, “come on Ross, let’s go have sex…” and when Monica says to Rachel, “I’m sorry I almost made you sleep with Ross!” he says, “well I’m gonna take off…” and it’s all just timed perfectly

I thought the same.

While I do believe they, like so many people, will be devastated by the loss, I don't think they've been as close to Matthew since Friends ended.

Friends has been over for longer than it was on TV and yes ten years is a long time to work every day with the same people and of course you develop friendships and some of those will develop into feeling like family.

But realistically Matthew was a troubled man, and that can be hard for people to be around. Yes, it's sad but also I think there's a public perception that they all should be super tight and close. Sadly I just don't think they were and now they're having to put out such a statement not for necessarily for themselves but for the benefit of the fans. I'm not suggesting they wouldn't have made comments on their own, but equally it feels as though their grief is being shared.

They're not Rachel, Monica, Joey, Ross and Pheobe grieving Chandler. They're Jennifer, Courtney, Matt, David and Lisa mouring a former colleague and friend, and I think people (no-one in this thread just people generally) need to remember that.

In the same way Matthew himself wanted to be remembered for more than just Chandler. We have to remember they are also more than their friends characters too.

This might be an unpopular opinion, but I really like the live studio audience.

I watched Friends when it originally aired, and I wasn’t familiar with a lot of the guest stars, but you knew they were famous because of the excited “WOOOO!!!!!’s” from the audience. Or sometimes there’s an episode where someone has a particulaory loud or distinctIve laugh and you keep noticing it.
