What are your foundation recommendations?
One on a budget
One you splurge on.

Budget: L'Oréal infallible.
Splurge: YSL Touche Eclat but I find it brings me out in cystic acne. Does anyone get that with YSL?

Charlotte Tilbury light wonder (I use this pretty much every day)
Charlotte Tilbury airbrush flawless foundation
IT Cosmetics CC cream

Budget - I like The Ordinary one and also another vote for L’Oreal Infallible

Oooo I’m glad you both rate L’Oreal Infallible as I just bought this today!

I’ve used Max Factor Miracle Touch for about 10 years but I’m finding it dries out my skin recently

Do you use a brush for Infallible?

Splurge: Charlotte Tilbury light wonder, Giorgio Armani luminous silk or YSL touché eclait teint.
I really like Bare Minerals complexion rescue for everyday wear. I also reach for MAC face and body as it’s buildable.

Budget: The Ordinary serum foundation.

Depends what skin type you are OP for how foundation will look.

Budget - revlon colour stay. Matches my very pale skin!

Splurge - estee lauder double wear or nars

I used to always wear Mac but found my skin would look ok some days then orange the next with no change in application or coverage. I then tried Dior and LOVED it! But it’s like £15 more. Both I found by the end of the day I had barely any left on my face too.
I now use Nars as I touch my face a lot as well as I have quite oily skin so foundation can melt off, and that paired with Laura Mercier translucent powder, it doesn’t budge.
I buy it through the boots app when they have 20% off so I class it as my budget one but also my go to.

Budget- Revlon Colour Stay, as someone said above it is great for the pale gals, tho atm I am looking for a replacement

Splurge - Estee Lauder Double Wear or Mac, Really want to try Charlotte Tilbury next!

ordinary made my eyes sting… had to give it away

Every day- bare minerals complexion rescue tinted hydrating cream

Splurge- Estée Lauder double wear

Budget- I’ll just pick up a BB cream from home bargains or somewhere like that.

I love how double wear looks when you wear it but for me it feels so heavy on like I can’t move my face 😂 I could never wear it in the heat too. Clarins everlasting is also great as a splurge

Save-Loreal true match or NYX professional cant stop wont stop
Splurge-Mac studio fix but I'm also trying out Nars long wear and YSL touche eclat le teint.

I found double wear just too thick.

I love double wear as it is one of a few foundations that are a good colour match, neutral suits me more than warm as I am olive not golden, currently using IT cosmetics CC cream and love it but match isn’t as good

As I enter my late 30s and my skin is showing signs of aging. Although it has served me well for nearly 10 years, I have found Estee Lauder Double Wear too thick and cakey for my skin. I tried Charlotte Tilbury Air Brush but I found it very over rated.

I used to be a big fan of the Benefit Playsticks in my youth, I also repurchased their Oxygen one a few times, so tried their Hello Happy Foundation and was pleasantly surprised with it.

I find you often get what you pay for with Foundation and invest my make up budget in this area. No 7 is probably the only budget one I would consider buying again. Primarks were a no go, too thick and cumbersome to apply. Brands like L'Oréal, Maybelline, etc tend to oxidise on the skin too much for my liking, giving them an orangey undertone as the day goes on. The coverage is always bad too.

Budget- was Bourjois Healthy Mix but sadly discontinued now
Splurge- Pat McGrath Skin Fetish- very buildable & Giorgio Armani Power Fabric when I need more coverage.

I use a foundation called undid. It’s not like normal foundation, you put it on more like a moisturiser and it sinks in. Wouldn’t use anything else now, I’ve had so many compliments about my ‘healthy glow’ lol without looking like I’m wearing much make up. It’s fairly expensive at £19 though

Maybelline fit me, although I’ve just bought a new bottle and haven’t used this brand for ages so hopefully it’s okay!
No7 stay perfect (a splurge for me bc it’s quite expensive for me😅)

Cheap - maybelline fit me
Splurge - mac face and body for lighter glowy coverage or mac studio fix for more coverage/going out
