As I enter my late 30s and my skin is showing signs of aging. Although it has served me well for nearly 10 years, I have found Estee Lauder Double Wear too thick and cakey for my skin. I tried Charlotte Tilbury Air Brush but I found it very over rated.
I used to be a big fan of the Benefit Playsticks in my youth, I also repurchased their Oxygen one a few times, so tried their Hello Happy Foundation and was pleasantly surprised with it.
I find you often get what you pay for with Foundation and invest my make up budget in this area. No 7 is probably the only budget one I would consider buying again. Primarks were a no go, too thick and cumbersome to apply. Brands like L'Oréal, Maybelline, etc tend to oxidise on the skin too much for my liking, giving them an orangey undertone as the day goes on. The coverage is always bad too.
