My everyday foundation is Estee double wear. I try different foundation and always end up back at double wear. I tried Charlotte tilbury flawless and it oxides on my skin within minutes of applying it and felt really heavy.

Thank you!! I actually have the laura mercier translucent powder. I haven't used it for a while though and certainly haven't tried it as a combo with nars. I'll be doing that tomorrow!!
I bought my laura mercier off asos with 20% off, worth keeping an eye out if you run low and boots aren't offering a discount.
Thank you! Never would have thought to look on asos but it does last forever! I’m sure if you’re investing in them two, you’re properly moisturising and priming your face even though it’s oily- got to have that good base! Thought I’d still write it for people reading though :) no point spending loads on makeup to neglect your skincare

Charlotte Tilbury light wonder (I use this pretty much every day)
Charlotte Tilbury airbrush flawless foundation
IT Cosmetics CC cream

Budget - I like The Ordinary one and also another vote for L’Oreal Infallible

Double wear is my real OG for nights out/events but the NYX born to glow is genuinely just as good and is under a tenner

As I enter my late 30s and my skin is showing signs of aging. Although it has served me well for nearly 10 years, I have found Estee Lauder Double Wear too thick and cakey for my skin. I tried Charlotte Tilbury Air Brush but I found it very over rated.

I used to be a big fan of the Benefit Playsticks in my youth, I also repurchased their Oxygen one a few times, so tried their Hello Happy Foundation and was pleasantly surprised with it.

I find you often get what you pay for with Foundation and invest my make up budget in this area. No 7 is probably the only budget one I would consider buying again. Primarks were a no go, too thick and cumbersome to apply. Brands like L'Oréal, Maybelline, etc tend to oxidise on the skin too much for my liking, giving them an orangey undertone as the day goes on. The coverage is always bad too.

Before lockdown double wear was my God.

During and after lockdown Rimmel Lasting Radiance Is now my God.

Someone on this forum recommended it.

I’ve only been using one kind for the past fifteen years - Lily Lolo mineral powder foundation. Can build up coverage from very light to medium. Very comfortable on the skin and looks fab. Suitable for everyday wear.

Prior to that I used Mac liquid foundation for a couple of years. Was nice but coverage too much.

I do want to try The Ordinary serum foundation though. Reviews are pretty good, and it’s very inexpensive. I’ve already bought a Real Technique beauty blender thingy in preparation. It was a lot cheaper than the original pink Beauty Blender.

I had a Charlotte tilbury online consultation this morning!! It was fab and the woman was so lovely. She recommended I try the airbrush flawless foundation. Has anyone tried it? ☺🥰

I love a good foundation recommendation!!

I find i have to flit between a few at the moment as my skin tends to play up if I stick to the same for more than a week or so, for some bizarre reason.

I love double wear, nars sheer glow, it cc cream and Charlotte Tilbury airbrush flawless.

I used to love revlon colourstay as a budget but the formula doesn't work for me anymore.

I have very oily skin and many foundations don't work for me. Would like to try urban decay next.
I also have oily skin and since I started using the Laura mercier and brushing that onto my skin (I use Nars) it stays so much better! The Boots app often has 20% off on it and free delivery to store.

Maybelline fit me, although I’ve just bought a new bottle and haven’t used this brand for ages so hopefully it’s okay!
No7 stay perfect (a splurge for me bc it’s quite expensive for me😅)

Save-Loreal true match or NYX professional cant stop wont stop
Splurge-Mac studio fix but I'm also trying out Nars long wear and YSL touche eclat le teint.

I love how double wear looks when you wear it but for me it feels so heavy on like I can’t move my face 😂 I could never wear it in the heat too. Clarins everlasting is also great as a splurge
I found double wear just too thick.

Every day- bare minerals complexion rescue tinted hydrating cream

Splurge- Estée Lauder double wear

Budget- I’ll just pick up a BB cream from home bargains or somewhere like that.
