It's taken me til today to be able to come and post about Daniel. 😭😭😭 I'm gutted, he sounded so sad in his post. I think we all knew it was coming, but still gutted.

No Seb in 2023 and now it looks like no Danny.

*I'm not ok
It’s been a very sad year for older F1 fans. While I like some of the young guns like the Ferrari boys I just don’t see the legends there. There won’t be another Seb ( or Lewis when he leaves) for a long time. There also aren’t many characters like DR left.

same :( it’s absolutely the end of what was (imo) a golden generation - i like a few of the younger ones (my boy sharl of course!) but they’re just not the same. i can’t believe we only have ten more races with seb and maybe daniel.

Bloody Alonso. His whole aim for this gp was to prevent Lewis from having a good race. I knew this would happen when I saw they were 3 and 4. Probs I was the only person who wasn’t happy on his return to F1. Jealousy is such a negative trait Fernando.

I was high on painkillers when I learned about Daniel, and it didn't help ease the pain at all.
I'm a bit more optimistic now, so many people are praising him*, I hope Alpine sign him soon.

* except for Gunter which is kinda weird but okay.

Lewis looking at his Mercedes today like he looked at his McLaren in Singapore that time

ferrari radio messages are painful to listen to, my goodness 🤣 have to say that lewis was lucky not to get some kind of penalty from that, the contact with fernando was completely his fault. also though perez should have had a penalty for squeezing charles out but i am also very biased.

this is just a max/red bull masterclass, isn’t it? to get through the whole field that quickly is ridiculous.

(also obligatory #freecharles)

Just finished watching catch up C4 after working all day and avoiding social media. Honest to duck Ferarri - I don't know why they even bother anymore 🤦🏻‍♀️

Has Hamilton confirmed 100% he will definitely race next year? I know he has a contract... But with each passing race, I feel he is closer to sailing off on a yacht into the horizon for a sabbatical year to meditate and make music 😂

I got that impression today. Even with a contract I’m sure he can walk away if he really wants to and Mercedes can save millions in wages.

It was Max's tear off too - lol

An utterly dominant performance by Verstappen 😎

And we may even see a few more this season:

Spa is a special track in terms of ride height due to the compression in Eau Rouge and a nasty bump in the Stavelot corners. In order to alleviate the impact at these points, the teams have to set their cars five to six millimeters higher than usual. In fact, this time the ground clearance had to be increased by a bit more than the engineers had calculated. This was due to the ominous bump between turns 14 and 15. This put Ferrari and Mercedes in a window in which their aerodynamics no longer delivered the downforce that they were used to.

As a consequence, both teams had to trim the chassis harder than usual, which also cost mechanical grip. The Red Bull felt comfortable with more ground clearance and therefore also reached its normal form. "Over the course of the season, we've shown more than once that our car can handle more ground clearance," confirmed Horner.

The directive could well become a factor that causes disorder at the top. For example on the bumpy Zandvoort circuit, where you could again be forced to drive higher than you want. "Then we could experience a second Spa," fear Mercedes engineers. That would not be good prospects for Ferrari. Maranello hopes that the Hungaroring-like track characteristics will again fit more into the profile of the F1-75.
Zandvoort and then later COTA which is a proper bumpfest.

Couldn't have Seb and Lewis go in the same season.

I wonder if she made him sign a contract which means he has to mention her in almost every interview? You don’t hear Toto going about Susie although she also works in the industry
