no way! i can’t see how he stays after this season, but i do feel he’s an easy scapegoat - ferrari needs a huge backroom overhaul, not just getting rid of the most visible member.

piastri is doing himself no favours (imo) by liking funny memes and being snarky about it. he’d better hope he has something else lined up otherwise this is going to get super awkward.

I saw on IG (so not sure how true it might be) that Alpine had until 31st July to take up the option on Piastri, Alonso left on 1st August so they just missed the deadline. They maybe thought it would be fine as the day before he’d have to take the seat but he seems to have something lined up for immediately after the 31st July in case Alonso and Ocon both stayed.
