i think this too i mean obviously he’s living a decent life, doing his dream job, making a ridiculous amount of money and slagging around with models and whatnot () but i do wonder really what impact it has on him. he knows he’s with a team who didn’t/don’t really value him and that he’s really just being held there as a well paid third choice. must be hard when so many of his peers from that generation, including his best friend, have gone on to “better”. i always like that charles makes a point to mention pierre when he’s asked about that group of drivers.

but then writing psychological studies of f1 drivers is my favourite thing. hopefully he’s fine

A little perspective; Lewis could ahead won that race but with a few ither things going against him there was no chance especially when he didn't change his tyres. George is assertive but also learnt a fair but at Williams it's not as if he just got the seat he had to wait and bide his time learning at Williams. But also he is driver liason officer and soon will be the senior one when Seb leaves ()
Everyone has their faves and dislikes and it's all opinions at the end of the day.

The seatbelt thing reminds me of Charles Barcelona 2020, spun and stalled, though that was it then realised he had unclipped it so pitted and retired from the race. Gave me one of my fave Charles pics ever (though it's a sad one too)View attachment 1554892

I've sat in club corner, best viewing spot imo! We tried out a few when it was roving seating before race day, and chose the ones we liked best, bought them for the following year. Good views of them coming around Stowe, often some action around there, esp with the gravel trap, view of the pit lane entrance and back of the starting grid, you can watch them head down to first corner. You get such a wide view of the track there.

Another vote for Club Corner after we went this year, seats were covered.
We also got to see “AND THROUGH GOES HAMILTON” although of course such great overtakes can’t be guaranteed next year

The box box app looks so much more elaborate on iphone than it does on android though, not sure if that has anything to do with a premium version or just the type of phone you have. It has super cool widgets on iphone (the circles with stats on the lockscreen, for instance) and I can't seem to get that on my android phone.

I'm so excited for it to be raceweek again. I believe the Singapore race starts at 9 PM or something for me, i love the vibe of watching F1 during the night. Gives me the opportunity to make it a cozy evening with snacks, lol

aw i didn’t realise they looked different! like you say the circle widgets are so cool, and means i can have charles’ stats on my lock screen at all times (in case i ever want to feel sad i guess ) they give so many options too!

9pm sounds like a dream time to watch a race, i sadly don’t think any of them start that time for me in the uk! excited for singapore too, though i can’t see anyone catching max i’m still hoping for a surprise person on the podium before this season ends. it is seeming more unlikely though!

Yeah they do, wonder if it’s in the contract they have to give a session up to a Mercedes driver. Seems like he could just do it in either George or Lewis’s car

Yeah, not to bring the vibe down or talk bad about the other thread but this thread seems much more civil at the moment. To each their own, i'm just glad there's multiple options so there's something for everyone! And the cool part is that anyone can make a thread about anything : - )

Where can I listen to these podcasts please? Are they the Beyond The Grid ones?
