I think they still have a Mercedes engine? Nyck is doing the rounds of FP sessions. Why is Nick de vryes now doing an FP1 session for Aston Martin?
Yeah they do, wonder if it’s in the contract they have to give a session up to a Mercedes driver. Seems like he could just do it in either George or Lewis’s carI think they still have a Mercedes engine? Nyck is doing the rounds of FP sessions.
Literally just seen on Twitter it’s a rule every team has to give over two FP1 sessions this year to a rookie. Guess if AM don’t have a young driver programme they need to find someone else’s young driver to fulfil that.He did the Williams FP recently too, didn't he? I think he did a Mercedes drive this year too? Lots of free practices for him. Maybe Mercedes want him to get experience, but don't want to give up a free practice spot for him and other teams needed someone to fulfill the 'young driver' requirement for however many free practices they need to give to one.
He’s gonna be an eternal test driver isn’t heI think they still have a Mercedes engine? Nyck is doing the rounds of FP sessions.
I'd also like to see him in a management role... He can't abandon F1 altogetherI hope Seb comes back as a team boss or something.
From the BBC Sport website - puts an interesting perspective on Sunday:
Hamilton did not admit after the race, but he had made a mistake. He had the engine in the wrong mode at the restart. That's why Verstappen found it so easy to pass so soon - Hamilton was down on power.
Seb seems like he would be a great commentator. Witty, intelligent and great technical info (which I need!). He is giving the impression though that he's so over F1 at the moment.I'd also like to see him in a management role... He can't abandon F1 altogetherOnly thing is he'd still be doing insane amounts of travel in those team roles.
For my own entertainment, I'd love for him to become a commentator. Getting bored with some of the current ex-F1 Sky 1 presenters, I think he'd bring a fresh insight and love his humour![]()
At least Pierre had a lot of practice with his hands over summer breakThat is interesting. Makes sense as it looked so easier for Max -even with the tyres.
The steering wheels seem so complicated. I saw an article yesterday where Pierre said he had to change to a certain mode to change parameters as a precaution after Yuki's retirement during the race. It involved 20+ pushing of whatever buttons on the wheel while driving.

Do you mean the 2016 world champion who won in the same machinery as lewis Hamilton? At least Pierre had a lot of practice with his hands over summer breakBut that’s absolutely wild!
I would adore seeing Seb in a punditry role. He’s so eloquent, thoughtful and seems to be an encyclopaedia of F1 knowledge. Such a shame he seems so done with the sport, he’s going to be so missed. And here we are, stuck with greasy Nico in his Bond villain lair instead.
omg did he really? I never knew that, he’s so modest!Do you mean the 2016 world champion who won in the same machinery as lewis Hamilton?
Serious question is he able to attend any races? It’s so awkward him commentating from the comfort of his palace
Not sure he'd do commentary but gey who knows. I think maybe a bit of time if beckons for him with his young family that he clearly misses when away with F1. There might be 1 huge bee farm in Germany soonI'd also like to see him in a management role... Now you’re making me want a documentary series about an ex-racing driver who retires to set up a bee farmNot sure he'd do commentary but gey who knows. What if he continues racing in a series like Extreme E maybe? Some good rallying and totally fits his cause. I’m not ready to lose Seb as a racing driver yetNot sure he'd do commentary but gey who knows.
