I’m watching the McLaren unboxed.. I’ve just got to the part where they’re set up at the front of the grid. I don’t know if I can relive it tbh… 😭😭

I won't be watching unboxed. I've been ignoring everything and trying not to think about it. It's breaks my heart. And I don't think I can cope with it mentally.

I just hope Lando is doing okay.

Just read in many places that RB had approached Lando. Thoughts?
It didn't specify how long ago, but do you think a driver swap that radical could happen after next year? Especially now that there may be some rogue winners and losers in 2022? Because I feel like each team has a lead driver set for the foreseeable future (perhaps expect Ferrari, who I hope, will give Carlos some respect)
Also, when drivers sign such long-term contracts they must have some performance-related clauses of their own right? I'm fairly new to F1 but has a driver ever quit halfway through a season/contract cause they had a tit car?

Yeah quite a few if you look back into the archives. Nikki lauda quit back in 77 once he’d won the championship. It happens less now because of contracts and sponsorship deals but back in the 50s-70s seats were more fluid and drivers walked out it swapped or were sacked more often.

I’d forgotten about rosberg quitting mid contract!
that was a bit of a shock when happened.

Oh yeah. I have watched all the Nico stuff.
I was just thinking on the lines of Fernando Alonso in Mclaren circa 2017-18 and Seb at Aston Martin this year.
I feel like I've heard Otmar say that there are a few milestones they expect the drivers to reach and some that bigger drivers like Seb can ask the team to reach as well.
And I wonder if some of the drivers could want out of their contracts should the teams not be able to hit certain targets next year? It could make for some interesting driver movements.

Gossip on here and the Wags thread 😉
Oh and hope for half naked at least pics of the drivers 😆 WE NEED OUR FIX
Its sad that they're all paired up. Really reduces the scope for gossip quite a bit. Unless there's a breakup. And those are just sad.
Half naked in the winter? Seems unlikely  unless they make it to my half of the equator lol

Why mid-March though? Is it to give teams time to get the new cars done? I don't know how happy the teams will be about such a saturated calender

They'll be on holiday after Dec to Early Feb so.plenty of time to get on that beach.

i have just kinda gone back to it but the threads move too fast I could never keep up so stopped checking for ages 😅
Me too, hard to remember who is who and who followed who and who is linked to. Hurts ya brain 😁 but each to their own, I don't follow all drivers so no idea who the follow or not just follow my faves and then cba to check. Just like or not their pics
