The sun was awful for being able to see the cars coming down the straight on the tv. I couldn’t tell one from another. Not sure what they can do about that but it was tricky

Yuki will be in the red bull for Japan, if Ralph Schumacher’s interview on german telly is true, Liam is going back to RB. (But has till the summer break to try and get better, if not they want Franco!)

I think he’ll be back as a tv personality. If Netflix are smart they’ll have him as one of the story tellers in future seasons

Well if what George says is true about putting George's fucking head into a wall that ain't racing that's being a bully. So I ain't happy with that if true. It's going to far.

if he was tanking on purpose. I had just thought that the upgrades since Austin were just more suited to Pierre and Esteban had got them a race later. I know there was a difference in the cars in Qatar with Pierre getting the new nose/wing.

The goodbye post was very curt and perfunctory. It does seem to imply that there was more going on than just being released early to do a post season test.

Apparently, Alpine and Red Bull are no longer interested in Colapinto. It does sound like Checo is out after Sunday. It doesn’t make sense to me to put Lawson in his seat over Yuki. F1 rumours are all very confusing

i agree, but rb have never taken yuki seriously and i sadly don’t see that changing i don’t think they’ll ever promote him to that seat, and i don’t know what he could do to change that.

i can only assume that the wolf of wall street thing was pure bravado (and that he knew he wasn’t going at that exact moment ) he does have an insane number of sponsors so maybe he thinks they’ll keep on saving him but even then there’s being optimistic and there’s being delusional. even with the car being designed for max 85% of drivers on that grid would doing a better job with it.

The real big reason he’ll be let go is they’re likely to end up p3 in the constructors and whilst checo comes with money, it’s isn’t that much. I do wonder what his performance clauses are. Because CH keeps talking about it being a results based business, even if he was only coming say p5 to max’s P1 I don’t think he’d be let go. But it’s just not working, although it feels like a poison challis until max leaves (the second seat that is)

How many times will the safety car be out for this race? Quali was chaos

I’m going to be watching it a bit delayed so I’ve had to set everything to record on the virgin box up to about 10pm because it has a habit of not keeping up with the recording if the race over runs and just cuts off the recording when it was originally due to end. So annoying because sky just knows and keeps up.
