Carlos must have been told a lot about Williams plans for him to pick them over Audi. No offence but Williams are only really just improving. Well good luck to him! Audi I guess could be a big question mark over them as not known nothing to compare to??
I think there was maybe too many unknowns for Carlos going to Audi, too much of a gamble. He probably knows what he's getting himself in for at Williams, and feels like he might be able to make a difference.
I think it’s the Merc engine, he only became interested in Alpine when it came up that they were going to become a merc customer…

Audi keep shooting themselves in the foot, the constant management changes etc. Rumours of the engine being behind, the Audi board already being disinterested. None of it attracts a racing driver.

I think the problem is, they’re not Audi yet, sauber are the only team not to score a point, where as with Williams he has a chance not just to be a back marker (not at all tracks) I’ve also read that in his new contract Carlos has some very specific exit clauses including if a seat comes up at merc or red bull he’s allowed to leave
