Ive wanted to try the brownies for ages and they're not selling out as quick so was tempted to get them but this thread put me off to be honest! That tweet moaning about paying staff wages when they'd also tweeted about going on various expensive holidays trips in the space of months! I know they're a business but it came across so icky
There are so many places that do brownies now 😃 you wouldn’t struggle to find someone. I get brownies from a local baker in my town, she just does it alongside her job and is so lovely but there are tons of people on Instagram and Etsy.
I do think they seem a little out of touch with the reality of this year. People are really struggling and it’s great their business is doing well and they’ve bought bigger houses etc but not everyone is so fortunate, it wouldn’t hurt to have some compassion. I don’t recall them ever addressing the no free school meals uproar for example.

Sorry but what is with them posting "If you don't wax ur tash ur weird pass it on X" on their Instagram stories?

My sister just sent me a SS of their story and was saying that it made her self conscious and was asking if she has a noticeable tash... Strange that they would post something like that? It's cruel and unnecessary, especially on their business account? Am I overthinking it?

I agree. Their main audience is young females.
Why would you post that on a business account 🤔 calling someone weird for not doing something 🤔

I'm sorry, but come on.
On a cake business page for a start.
Maybe people just don't care or don't feel it's necessary?
This is exactly what is really making me dislike them more and more! It’s not as if they don’t have their own pages if they want to post it! For gods sake they’re nearly 30, not witchy high school girls. I just don’t get how this is appropriate or necessary?

And to me comes across like they would judge their customers etc

I’ve never thought about how I look / hair make up done to go and get a subway but their posts make me think twice about nipping to them for a cake.

It’s almost as if I’m ‘not good enough’ to shop with them, does that makes sense ?

This is why they have earned the criticism they get. So unprofessional 🤮 and downright nasty.

Why you’d want to give these people your money, behaving like this, I have no idea. No cake is that good 😂

I definitely feel this. When I went to FB ages ago I felt so self conscious and even joked to my friend that I needed to put makeup before going so they don’t judge.

Maybe they’re nice in real life (I’ve only ever been served by Lauren and she was really lovely both times) but some of the things they post are so mean and judgy and it stresses me out. Especially when they talk about bodies etc (like saying they want to be “thin as streaks of piss”) (also i realise its Tessa saying that but the twins have said some really ‘fatphobic’ things in the past which made me feel self conscious when actually buying stuff at the bakery, if that makes sense)

When I saw that I thought they maybe had accidentally posted it onto the business page rather than their personals but then they did follow up stories!!! Is this a new business strategy or USP? Make customers feel embarrassed or self conscious so they buy more brownies? Lol

I live local to FB but haven’t ever been. My friend goes all time though because she knows the twins. When all the drama on here was kicking off I text her and asked what they were like. Her text back made me laugh...it just said “Laurens a complete witch. Rachel is lovely” 😂 so there you go! From somebody who definitely knows them 👍🏼

I can tell them apart a mile off! 😂 Rachel's teeth or crooked/chipped maybe? Lauren's are straight
One of them has way too much Botox and overdone eyebrows. Not sure which one that is.

Does anyone else wonder if their “sell out” products might be a fraud?!
If you’re only making say 30 trays to sell then of course they’re going to go quick! While people would naturally assume they’ve sold potentially hundreds, and that then keeps people in the “OMG they sell out so quick they must be amazing so I must get some for myself!!” loop.
I follow other accounts who will state “X amount on the site now” but never seen FB mention any numbers. 🧐
