Are they still making a fuss about this site?! Trying to make their life private will not stop people talking about them on here 😂

I don't think they'll keep it private for long. I think they enjoy the amount of followers they have too much.
Plus I don't think they realise pretty much all the people on this thread already follow them.

Love cakes & brownies! I found someone local to me doing brownies and I regularly get a box from her. I figured in lockdown I’d rather support someone local than old finchy b (is there anything worse than days old brownies coming in the post? I’ve not ordered from them so can’t comment on the freshness).

they must be making serious dollar though, they both recently bought huge new houses around £500k which is a massive leap from the tiny terraces they both had!

Yes they’ve been posting a lot about them which I don’t know is a good idea! They’ve stepped up so are earning big £££££. Good for them though

I don’t think the vanilla ones are but the choc ones are a bit they do crumble slightly. But there is a definite butter cream overload but I love buttercream. Their vanilla cake jars are really nice 🤤
I was so disappointed with their chocolate cake jars, the sponge was so dry and crumbly. The brownies were delicious though 😋

Yes they use stork blocks for buttercream 🤢. It’s rank. Agree with the post above they seem to bulk buy cheap ingredients and don’t use quality stuff for their cakes etc. Annoys me when people say ‘buttercream’ but their isn’t any butter in it 🤔🤣 should be margcream 🤣🤣

Fellow baker here👋🏻
I think you’ll find that stork/margarine is very commonly used in buttercream for most bakers and bakeries. Whenever I have used butter, it has created greyish icing that separates.

After reading the thread it has altered my opinion on the owners, but that is due to political differences. however, I wouldn’t critique them on buttercream, just ask them to use normal butter perhaps?

Yes I know it’s commonly used I didn’t say it wasn’t. It’s the fact bakers call it buttercream when there is no butter in it I disagree with. It should be called frosting. I’ve used block butter for years and never had an issue 🤷🏻‍♀️

so they said they stopped reading here and ‘forgot about it’ but then mysteriously got loads of questions like...why they use baking block (they then called it frosting) stuff about whether they were given money from their parents to start the businesses etc...so everything being discussed here 😂

I’ve never had an issue with butter either 🤷🏻‍♀️ Never grey, never separates. If you’re not using butter it should definitely not be called buttercream!

Maybe it’s the people asking the questions have been on here and read it, then sent in questions asking about it...

Yep could be. Or they could be asking themselves the questions to ensure they’re addressed whilst looking like they aren’t bothered. 👍🏻

They probably are still reading here but as this thread is in the rave about and their profiles are private, I think nobody can post their children which seemed to be their biggest issue before.

wouldn’t you have an issue if your children’s pictures were being posted on a forum and discussed? As I think any parent would.. yes they post their children a lot on their social media pages, but that’s their pages and their choice to.

Once you post your child anywhere online you no longer have any choice or control about how other people use that image unfortunately. They should know that. God knows whose hands those pictures have fallen into and for what purpose.

She's now sharing bath photos of the children. She said she doesn't like the taste of butter as a way to justify using that horrible palm oil margarine instead. Who doesn't like butter in cakes but prefers Marg? I don't buy it.
She's so not bothered she keeps saying how much she isn't bothered. 🤣🤣

This is what someone else was saying, they do the same if someone leaves a bad review or comment on their Instagram, they screenshot it, reply some witchy comment and then post it on all their stories and Facebook so everyone goes and attacks them
Yes! They are nasty bullies and think they're allowed to set their followers onto someone and anyone that doesn't praise them they call a troll. Big hypocrites.

Of course I would, but equally when you post your children publicly you no longer have any control over those images. They clearly are reading here as a number of things raised here in the past 24 hours have been addressed on their story q&a.
