I don’t get it. The cake on the cover looks awful.

Wtf is a disco bake?? Thought that’s more drug related unless they’re trying to insinuate like get baked

I buy quite a lot of cookbooks and baking books, I don't think it's that weird, I like cooking/baking?
But I do think the twins have milked their book capacity for all its worth now. 'Disco bakes' isn't a thing. Also, I'd be reluctant to give them money for recipes. They're not like Jane of Jane's Patisserie for example who I like supporting because she does a lot of free recipes as well as the books.
I didn’t say it was weird? I worded it wrong I actually meant who is buying these influencers books? They mainly plagiarise anyway and surely they are internet based these days? I still use Mary Berry cookbooks, it’s not about the books it’s about the people bringing them out.
I didn’t rate janes first book. A lot of books now are biscoff this biscoff that and I’m just not a fan. They also copy each other a lot. I’ve found janes online recipes better than her books, I do also prefer ripping out of magazines. But it’s personal preference and if you have any 10/10 baking books send them recommendations across
True she is biscoff mad and I'm not a fan. Also too many cheesecakes. But I like having her book because I use all her recipes for basics - brownies, cookies, flapjacks etc - and I like having a hard copy version of those.
I have a huge mix so not sure what you'd like! But the ones I use the most are Bread Ahead's 'Baking School' for your kind of traditional/classic baking (no gimmicky decorating here, it's all about bread, brownies, getting the basics spot on) their baking classes are amazing as well if you're near London, pricey but worth it, I've done a few. I have a few books from the Australian Women's Weekly which are brilliant, the best one is a huge yellow one called Bake and they also have other books like kids' cakes etc if you do need something like that. For special occasion ideas/cupcakes I still like the Hummingbird Bakery 'Cake Days' book even though it's quite old now. And James Morton's book 'How Baking Works' is really good if you're at all interested in the science behind baking. I like Cupcake Jemma's Youtube recipes but I bought her book and didn't think much of it so I'd swerve that one
I tried Jane's carrot cake recipe and it was the most tastless carrot cake I've ever tasted and I find her even more annoying than the twins if that's possible
I personally wouldn't but each to their own.
