I’m not “skint” by any means, I don’t live month to month and I’m even preparing for winter and my bills being higher. I’ve cut back on getting my nails done and my eyebrows (just in winter), cos it’s not a necessity. That’s £45 saved there towards energy bills if one week we don’t do much and we are in the house more! Everyone is cutting back that I know, no matter how much you earn.

Tbf begging people to buy your tit, extortionate cakes in a cost of living crisis is tacky AF. What do they expect? Hey huns, plz keep buying our burnt cookies to fund our extravagant lifestyles while you all worry wether you can afford heating x

I found their stories about supporting local independent businesses really patronising and annoying tbh, I'm all for that when people have the funds but small indies are always more expensive than supermarkets etc. Not really here for the having a pop at the public who probably can't afford their stuff anymore, how about they respond to the economic climate they work within and lower their prices 🤷‍♀️ people don't owe them a business. It's in particularly bad taste having shown off their big houses for a while too, as if people who are struggling are going to be arsed about their financial situation tbh

I agree. Nobody is going to spend £10 on cookies or a brownie box when the cost of living is so high..!!!! Who has £10 spare to waste on a treat every week like they’re expecting people too. End of the day they need to realise if people want a treat they’ll buy a pack of cheaper cookies or a pack of twelve fairy cakes from Asda😂 they’re not in the real world at all. Supporting a small business is fine but not when they’re overpriced 🙈

I dont know what's classed as a small business really, but are they really a small business anymore?
A shop, a factory type thing with a bunch of staff, products in shops across the country, a permenant stall in another shop.
Enough profit to buy themselves 2 big houses and fund multiple holidays abroad?

Very hard to have any sympathy for them when they're off on their 4th or 5th holidays abroad whilst others are struggling to decide if they can afford heating.

Yeah I wonder this too. Are they classed as a 'small' business. Just been to Disneyland aswell. Which people could only dream of doing. I've nothing against people spending their own money how they want (obviously) but to be going on and on about shopping small. No offense but no, that's the first things people stop buying. And rightly so in all fairness! Especially when tit is either bone dry or burnt or both. The quality of their goods don't reflect the price of them. And I think it's them that need to take a step back and wonder why they're starting to struggle and tbh it's nothing to do with a cost of living crisis. Their bakers can't bake.

This exactly. I have no issues with them buying their houses, going on holidays ect. It's their money, I don't care.
It's their begging post from people, a lot who probably have a lot less money than them, reminding them to support their business.

I think this is very true, I dont think they realise people are also probably buying less because their food is tit. To begin with I think a lot of their sales were hype and first time buyers that haven’t turned into repeat customers. Now the pandemic has cooled down and people have better things to do than waste money (a lot of money) on stuff they can make themselves that’s so much nicer and cheaper. Or, buy it elsewhere. Even in a cost of living crisis some people still buy luxuries, but are more selective and stop the frivolous splurges on tat. They are tat. The first place they should start is quality.

This is what I pointed out before.
They blamed Instagram for their lack of sales saying Instagram wasn't showing their posts.
So they had to do give a discount code.
As soon as they gave a discount code.. They got a bunch of sales.

Surely that just shows it's people not wanting to pay full price and not the fact that people aren't seeing their posts?

I’d pay probably max £1.50 for one of them. Once a month if that 😅

Omg. Not looking good today for them!!! Looks like no one has been in 🤦🏼‍♀️ Maybe they’ve watched the news and saw another interest rate increase and decided to ditch the brownies
