There’s no point in adding loads of stuff onto their bakes if they can’t even get the cookie right.

The milkshakes are definitely another way of using surplus products...like the cake jars, which they freely say are full of just old bits of cake cut offs and leftover buttercream
The cookie pots look like a way of getting rid of unsold cookies.

The twins are clearly very business minded. Some of their choices (cake jars for unused bits of cake etc) are savvy and you could argue, good because of reducing food waste.
But, they ethics really don’t sit right with me. If they were a larger company they would have to display nutritional information and I’m guessing that would be pretty shocking.
At a time where we have sugar taxes, people are becoming more aware of what is healthy or not they are pumping so much sugar, large and almost completely ultra processed ingredients into what seems like mainly a younger demographic. They market themselves as a fun, small bakery which sells hand baked goods, which should at least mean decent ingredients but that’s not the case at all. And I’m not talking about the price but the quality of their ingredients. It’s all chemicals. I’d be shocked if they hadn’t heard of ultra processed food and didn’t know what they were putting into their products. It’s just all addictive crap and I’m guessing they just don’t care.

And now, a story about adding clearpay/klarna to their website. No one should be using finance to buy crappy brownies. They know this. We know this. But they are greedy and don’t seem to have a conscious. I don’t want to criticise a seemingly successful woman run business BUT at the same time their customers are mainly younger women/girls and they seem willing to continually exploit this audience.

They do seem desperate these days. They have a lot of staff to pay I guess and overheads.

All of this! You articulated this better than I could have lol.

Also George's bakery... His cakes look so bleeping dry that I need a drink just looking at them.

They were successful in the pandemic but people cant afford that now
There are so many similar businesses now where people can buy a couple of brownies whilst they are out shopping rather than buying a box of 12 from them plus having to pay for delivery.

They were on Radio 2 with Vanessa Feltz at lunchtime, unfortunately missed most of what was said because my kids were screaming in the car 😳

George's cakes are very dry!
I couldn't eat it..
They don't taste very nice either

Both Finch and George are style over substance. You can tell by looking at them they'd taste like tit.

I’ve ordered their brownie boxes for the BF before so naturally I had about half of them 😋 I thought they were very average. They look great but that’s it lol
