I think Instagram and her account and popularity and ‘friends’ on there helped her through an unbelievably painful time. I’m guessing with the baby she needed to move on somewhat from that chapter with having the new baby.

exactly, like what do you get out of knowing her childs name? Does it make a massive change to your life? its just people wanting to be nosey.

we constantly moan on this site about parents not respecting their kids privacy and when they do, we still moan.

Elle has never set out to be an insta mum or influencer or anything so not surprised she hasn’t shared much about her little girl.

tbh I bet Elle just wishes that she was just a normal mum rather then in limelight... her loosing her son caused this...

I did say it would be an unpopular opinion, you can all stop getting your knickers in a twist

why do need the know the name so badly / see a picture? What difference is it going to make to your day?

When she took her first break, I think most people assumed once she had the baby, she’d be back to posting as normal. I interpreted her recent post as her informing everyone that even though she had had the baby, she wasn’t going to be back to normal. I think she’s got a lot of people invested in her story who would be confused as to why she was taking a break when baby’s home safe and well.

She could have just said it’s from Seasalt, there was no need to tag the company. She would have known first hand from Elle how IG works and how free stuff can be obtained, yes I’m a cynic.

I doubt that Carol reads Tattle or that anyone would direct her here so she should remain blissfully unaware.

Also the spiteful people comment wasn’t just directed at comments made about her Mum, there are a quite a few negative comments made about Elle and it surprises me with this being a rave thread.

Agree, spending that much money on something they will be in for 5 minutes just seems a waste of money, it’s not like she will be able to keep them for another baby either as they’re personalised!

What Elle has done seems to be the best way to go about things in my opinion.
It’s such a joyous time, I can imagine the last thing I’d want is being sent a load of stuff I don’t really need, then having to worry about tagging the right people and #ad every time I wanted to post a lovely picture of my much longed for baby.

I always wonder how the influencers cope with the boxes and packaging.

Also she’s said this about 80 times now, why can PRs not read the room

I really feel for her, I have suffered loss (one of my twins) and even that was incredibly tough as for the first two years of my survivors life I was convinced that he wasnt going to make it either. I always blamed the loss on looking at baby stuff too early, so can see why she may feel like she could jinx things. I can't bear the thought of another pregnancy and 9 months of anxiety so can totally empathise. Best wishes to Elle and I hope that very soon there will be the pitter patter of tiny feet in her lovely home.

I actually thought that maybe her last blog post in the mums voice series was going to be an updated one of her own. She said she had two left and described the first one but not the second one. I had a feeling she might use the last one to update everyone on her own journey once the baby is here. Sort of like a miracles do come true for the woman you’ve been following for years type thing. Now if she’s saying she won’t talk about the baby I doubt my prediction is true.

She’s done a blog post on her pregnancy hasn’t she? So I don’t really get the idea behind not discussing the baby at all once it’s here, as if it doesn’t exist. That isn’t going to help bereaved parents in any way is it?! I think discussing her experience of motherhood with baby #2 would make more sense. Im hopeful she will still want to open up with the new baby, but she seems quite set on coming off all social media for several months
