This is exactly it. People who have that kind of lifestyle and consider themselves to be #humble have no concept that lots of people would probably really struggle to afford a week in Cornwall, let alone have the luxury of access to a second home there. They probably genuinely think they aren’t ‘rich’ and by *some* people’s standards they’re definitely not, but by the vast majority of peoples standards, they really are.

I wanted to caveat this by saying I have a lot of sympathy for them for what they’ve gone through and I don’t dislike her at all. I think she’s handled the freebie situation very graciously when she was pregnant and I was so pleased to hear they’d finally had their happy ending. I do think she was well within her rights to take maternity leave but I think more transparency is called for, her Instagram is a vehicle to advertise her book, that’s it now. This is her job.

I totally agree with the Cornwall situation. Lots of people can't even afford a stay down there, but lots of the Influencers think nothing of trotting down for content for the gram especially on #gifted/ad/press weekend breaks at 'that' hotel that Jules use ! Even last summer at the hight of the epidemic they couldn't wait to drive down as soon as possible. Plus !!! at the same time whingeing that it's not the same as a a holiday abroad ffs ! They really are spoilt brats the lot of them.

Spot on ! I was outraged when I saw them both last year. People were losing loved ones and those two mats strutting around on the beaches. I yearn to visit Cornwall one day. Never been.....but determined to !

I’m glad I’ve found this thread, I unfollowed the rave thread after being jumped on over a different bloody opinion, and have only just discovered this one! I’ve unfollowed Elle this afternoon, I used to love her and her account but it’s obvious she’s only back to eventually promote her book, all the small business shares are a bit odd, and it’s all she seems to be doing, It also feels strange to be following someone who’s account was based around the loss of their child, but is now refusing to ‘acknowledge’ a second child on the gram when she’s shared so much of Teddy’s story before, it’s just all feels a bit disingenuous to be honest, and I’m not really sure why she is on Instagram anymore. I just feel sorry for the many women who’ve reached out to her in the past about losses who have now unceremoniously had the door shut in their face now she has her rainbow baby, feels like it’s almost gaslighting her own followers in a way.

Unless you are celeb like ( Marina Fogle ) then it’s ok.

Btw this is not a criticism of Marina Fogle, I absolutely adore her and think she is very down to Earth and yet she could be big headed. Her story of loss was very sad and I know she has written a lot about it.

If he’s an oil trader, at his age he will certainly be on a 200k base for a Director, and probably around £150k bonus on top, depending on how well his bank does, made up of cash and vested stock. She might make out her life is simple and lean, but they’d need this as a single salary where they live.

Agreed, a friend of mine is not even 30, works in oil trade and already on 6 figures plus bonuses. Makes me weep! He does work really hard, and really long hours...but yes they do indeed party hard. Pre pandemic he’s out maybe 3/4 nights a week you know, networking!
