Was coming through the airport yesterday and gave Virgin Island Water another go (I really really want to like it) but the initial spritz is waaaaaaaay too limey and citrusy...

So the woman on the stand gave me a spritz of the brand new Wild Vetiver as well. Very unisex, but too blackcurrenty or peppery for me. But as I was walking around giving it the odd sniff I sniffed the wrong hand and Virgin Island Water had turned into an incredibly creamy skin scent! Is this new?! It never did this before?!
Did you like it? Do you think it might be a flanker? ( ie same dna but slightly different(. Sorry if you know what this means already.

I much preferred it! The dry down is beautiful, much different than I remember…so I think this new 2025 version is a flanker (this is a brand new phrase to me, thank you!). I would definitely buy this one if the longevity wasn’t so poor…so it’s on the maybe list now!

New to this thread ✨️My favourite perfume of all time was Stella McCartney original . Does anyone know of any perfumes close to that scent by any chance ?
I’ve just had an email from Perfume Parlour to say that their dupe Star Lady is back in stock.

SOTD - Ormond Jayne . Damask

After someone mentioned that they had a Scentbird subscription i went and had a look ( and mulled it over for a few days). Decided i would try it out as there were a few perfumes i wanted to try. The perfume arrived yesterday so I am trying it today. Its very nice - it has a similar dna to PDM - Delina but its much sharper and a bit green. So far i like it.

My scentbird this month was Heretic: Couer Noir and its soooo nice. Kind of like a more incensey version of Dior Midnight Poison which i adore and have been saving my bottle of.

Love this review, I have this one coming in april. I’ve liked all of the Ormond Jayne I’ve tried so far from Scentbird. Champaca is on its way next, hoping it is as good as the others

I also have Sakura in my queue . This month I have By/Rosie Jane - Rosie on the list. I am off to have a look at Champaca now  .How do you find the atomiser? I am not a fan of it and don't like where the spray comes from.

Sakura is gorgeous, I was very tempted to get a full bottle but I havent finished the 8ml yet and I’ve other things I like a bit more. I had Rosie and it’s gorgeous but very very light, I ended up using it for my bed time perfume! I used the full 8ml in a few weeks as I had to overspray!!
immured to the atomiser now but hated it at first! I use the case, I carry them around in the tube instead which I find easier

SOTD is Hermes Un Jardin Sur la Lagune.

I thought because it is sunny out i'd wear a nice summery fragrance but it is a bit chilly so it's not quite hitting 😂.

I recommend this for anyone looking for an affordable summer fragrance though. It is a white floral with a salty marine note. Reminds me of being by the sea.

I bought it for about £40 for 50ml.

Hope you like Damask when it arrives . It is lovely - only downside is I thought it was mediocre on performance .

Me too. I’ve got a feeling I’m not going to like Champaca as much as the others, Damask sounds more like my type of scent.
