Another vote for YSL Libre I bloody love it, works great as a layering perfume too.

I am dying to get my hands on YSL Libre L'Absolu Platine but I cannot justify the ridiculous price of it 😭 every duty free I have been to within the last year has been so ridiculously expensive, I cant find a reasonably priced bottle of it anywhere

Sure, the pink Burberry bottle is Her Elixir which smells like a strawberry 🍓 milkshake to me which I love but some people might find it a bit sweet.

The clear pink bottle is Her EDP which I bought after the Elixir. Still sweet but not as sweet and very well liked by many online.

I sampled the Burberry Her EDT and I loved it also. I think it has a pear note and is quite different but smells like a lovely everyday scent.

The only other Burberry I have is Goddess. It's a lovely warm vanilla gourmand. I like wearing this in the autumn 🍂 and winter months.

Also my husband wears Burberry Hero EDP and it smells divine. He has a 150ml bottle 😄
Really helpful , thanks, I have looked at Burberry Goddess as I might get my daughter one for Xmas , she loves a vanilla scent
However I had never thought about the male scents, might look into Hero for my husband. Cheers for the advice

Does anyone know where I can sell used perfumes please? I’ve got a couple of perfumes that I’ve received as gifts, sprayed a bit and then realised I don’t like it 🤣 or perfumes that remind me of a horrible time (1st trimester of pregnancy, when I spray certain perfumes I’m reminded of the intense nausea and sickness I had 😭😭)

vinted wont allow my listings! 😔 TIA x

I've sold some on ebay, but they can sometimes take listings down without reason. I've had no trouble relisting and selling after the same item/listing has been removed, sometimes more than once annoyingly. Usually just a tweak of wording in the description or title can help it not be removed again, although like I mentioned before it can be bafflingly Computer Says No sometimes. 🥴

Good luck with selling x

I’ve sold them on eBay, honestly described and with photos of how much is in the bottle. Not had a problem.

I do ebay and list as 'new other', I have had maybe one listing taken down but I suspect it's because some goody two shoes reported it.

I've sold other used bottles with no problem.

My all time favourites are Lancome. La Vie Est Belle is number one but I love the Idole too. They've done some really nice versions of those too. I like Daisy as a daytime scent but I tend to retire it in autumn/winter.
For a long time I would always wear YSL Mon Paris so I'm always fond of that. And at the moment I really like Tiffany Rose Gold. Not a perfume I think I would have tried but I got it as a tester and really liked it so I bought the full version.

I think it's very different. I love the original Libre. On me it swings more to a masculine type of scent the flowers and flames is more of a floral/feminine scent and I find it a bit more of a 'sexy' fragrance if that makes sense 😂
You can't go wrong with La Vie Est Belle IMO its a classic 😍 have you tried the newish Elixir one yet? I sampled it in the chemist, very different the original. Smells like blackcurrant to me. Lovely though.

Would love to try Mon Paris. I've have Daisy Wild and I absolutely love. tit at describing things but sort of green smelling to me 😄 my husband randomly bought me Daisy eau Fraiche and I love putting it on after a shower because it's really got that sort of clean smell to it.

I always see Tiffany perfumes on the Boots app and think I should try them as I never have before. Must smell Flower & Flames next time I'm in the perfume shop!

You can get some gift sets from Diptyque that look really nice, even just the packaging is nicely thought out. It's such an investment though. I usually only buy them when SpaceNK is having a sale on, or from sites like AllBeauty when I have enough credit saved up (I think they have Carnal Flower on there for about £50 less than retail ;)). Sometimes I buy perfumes that are cheaper but similar (like Gucci Bloom as a back up to Do Son) but then I wonder if it's a false economy if I don't enjoy it quite as much.

Sometimes it's that one perfume that gets you hooked and then you end up chatting to people about other perfumes and your wishlist grows bigger and bigger 😂. The more I browse and sample the more I want other perfumes. I am trying to use up some in my collection now as otherwise I won't be able to use everything I buy in my lifetime 😂.

I've sampled Carnal Flower before. I did really like it but like you say, it's so expensive. It's very green and I got a lot of eucalyptus from it. I think my thumb was hovering over the "Buy now" button one evening after a few beers but I managed to talk myself out of it because I have Do Son and Gucci Bloom for the greener tuberose and then Rouge Malachite for the more resinous spicy tuberose 😂. Probably a good decision as it saved myself a bit.

Oooo I just googled that rough malachite because I never heard of it and it sounds fab 👌 what a beautiful 😍 bottle! Don't think I've ever been on that all beauty site before, will definitely give it a browse cheers 🥰

That Carnal flower is 72 euro on brown thomas for 10ml 😂 tempted to buy that one 😄 same with angels share that everyone is raving about. You can get a 10ml for around the same price 🫣

Tbh I know 10ml is f**k all but I wear different perfumes daily and have 10ml kayalis which have lasted me ages because of that so I try to justify the 72 quid 😄

No probs ❤ hope she likes it if you get it. Just checked boots there and I think there's either 20 or 25% off it at the moment. They do and intense version also and pure parfum too. I always look on parfumo for details about perfumes. Hope this helps

I love La Vie est Belle on other people and in the bottle - but annoyingly it genuinely smells of cat pee on me.
I was so pissed off 😂

It is so lovely . I think it is one perfume that made me branch out and try others to be honest. Like, I love it so much but it's so expensive so I think to myself "I will buy a cheaper every day one." But it is a bit of a false economy because I don't end up loving the everyday ones as much as it, and end up buying more to find one that I enjoy wearing as much as Rouge Malachite.

You're welcome. I just looked at Brown Thomas too and I am so jealous I dont live in Ireland as I'd definitely take advantage of the 25% off sale. You will have to report back on here what you think about it if you buy it. Have you sampled Angels Share by Kayali before?

I have a few travel sizes. To be honest once your collection goes over a certain amount they seem to last ages. At least with travel sizes you know you will probably use it all before it "expires" anyway. Although I never know how long we have until perfume goes bad. My Le Labo says to use within a year and I still have loads left of that 😬

A friend of mine has the gift of making almost any perfume smell like cat piss. Weirdly when her son buys her perfumes they smell fine but anything she chooses herself or gets as a gift from her husband, stinks as soon as it reacts with her skin 🤔

I got some samples from Noted Aromas and the 2 that have surprised me most is Cloud. I get the Bacarrat Rouge vibes but then it turns into a creamy vanilla lavender. I put some on before bed and it was so cosy smelling. Could still smell it when I woke up. The other one i really loved and had never heard was Hibiscus Mahajad, its sooo nice and jammy but feels really festive cos of the cinnamon. It feels like xmas to me for some reason. Will definitely be getting full sizes of both of them.

Hello,

haven't written here before and only found the thread recently, many of you have such lovely collections!
I used to have a nice smallish one myself, but used up a lot of it and fell out of habit of wearing perfume with Covid/exclusively working from home. While I'm still doing that I recently found my interest in perfumes coming back and spend the entire summer hunting for a nice summer scent (didn't find one though), Acqua di Gioia is a strong contender. Bit out of season right now though.
Anyway, I've Escentric Molecules 01 and was never really sure about it on me. It's "okay", but I tend to find it too much on me and it certainly doesn't have the magic effect of people hunting me down to ask after my perfume that other people report. I've had it for years now but never really wore it.
I also have the Nivea scent, which I like, but it's a "cozy" winter scent for me that also not really develops on skin, it stays more or less exactly like when you first spray it on. I recently thought that my "issue" with both scents is that they don't develop, especially with Molecule 01. Decided on a whim to try layering both scents to see what happens and 😮 so much nicer projection of the Nivea scent! Somehow the Escentric Molecule, despite being quite strong to me, disappears into the background and gets out some different, lighter notes out of the Nivea perfume. Really like that discovery and have worn it multiple times now.

I really like La Vie Est Belle, but it's my MIL's signature scent, so I feel weird wearing it. In general, I love Lancome scents. I have Narciso Rodriguez For Her on my list, but need to try it again to see whether it makes me sneeze. I like "clean" scents, I love something that smells light and flowery and like freshly showered, however many scents like that go strong on the musk notes, which I don't love, they have a tendency to give me a headache.

Have you tried Idole from Lancome? If you like La Vie i feel its in the same sort of vein.
