I was doing a clear out of my bedroom and found a large sample of Commodity-Paper, i LOVE it!!

Please recommend a summer perfume that smells like coconut or sunscreen. I've got a few nice zesty ones so I'm looking for something different.
Next Has an Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess dupe called Summer Sun, its perfect for the beach, very coconutty. Super cheap to buy too.

I have both commodity sample boxes but have been really underwhelmed by them. I think paper was one I set aside for someone else though.

So I bought the Charlotte Tilbury perfume- I went to the CT counter and tried out the one I liked. It was absolutely amazing and I fell in love with it so bought it there and then. It smells really unique but in a nice way. It was £130- not the most I’ve ever spent on a perfume, but definitely up there! Although I felt it was worth it, it’s gorge.

Thanks for telling us, which one?

I feel like Paper is gonna be one of those that people either love or hate.

I got two free samples of Charlotte Tilbury's fragrances, Magic Energy and Calm Bliss.

Magic Energy, on me, was straight up bananas (literal and metaphorical), going from ripe bananas to green bananas and then back again plus a vague sort of beachy woody scent in the dry down. Reading the sample card I was expecting an aromatic green fragrance, so I was kind of mystified. It almost smelt like it could be a Bronze Goddess flanker. It was OK, and I will probably use up my sample but wouldn't buy a bottle.

Calm Bliss started promisingly: a watery floral merging Estee Lauder's Beyond Paradise with a light watered down version of Cacharel's LouLou and a hint of Davidoff Cool Water Woman, but then unfortunately disintegrates quickly into department-store-bathroom handwash.

The fragrances were both more interesting than I thought they would be. I had been wary after memories of the awful musty-blousey Scent of a Dream, but these were not in that realm of terrible.

(Bit of a lurker on here, hope it's OK to butt in 🙂)

I could see why people would love it, and I didn’t hate it, it just wasn’t for me/ it very much IS for the person I selected it for though

Thanks so much for this, welcome to the fun!

Anyone else think the name More Sex is cringe?
The whole range of names (especially More Sex) could have all had a bit of a rethink tbh. They sound like a freebie lipgloss or nail polish or something you'd get back in the day when you bought Cosmopolitan magazine. The bottles are also a bit 🧐, especially at the price point.

Treated myself to a bottle Of Rose Jam in Lush today, I really like it and the 30 ml is perfect for my holidays

I have been trialling the Narciso Rodriguez nude musc. I really like it - it’s quite a powdery musc. Despite liking it I don’t think it’s worth the price tag as it only lasted a couple of hours max.

I've got Tom Ford white patchouli on today, one of my absolute favourites but I have to get so close to my skin to smell it. Such disappointing staying power on me.

I like that one. I haven’t smelled it beyond a sample though. It’s a shame when it’s pricey!

I’m on the look for something neroli that lasts. Ahahaha I’m not gonna find one am I. The Hermes is pitiful, it’s not a price I would feel okay soaking myself in either.

This is a rogue one and you may have also tried this already - have you tried leaving the perfume in a dark place for a few weeks? I had a Jo Malone fragrance that cost me a fortune that didn't last, I forgot about it for a few months in the back of my wardrobe and when I rediscovered it the longevity and scent was lasting soooo much longer on my skin!

I am trying the Joyphoria ( new CT perfume ) today. Whoever said the new perfumes had stupid names I couldn’t agree more.

Anyway - the perfume is lovely. I can still pick up the tuberose ( I think ?) in the background. I will be buying a bottle ( can’t decide if that would be the 10ml or 100ml) . Yet to try the rest of the samples.

Thumbs up though
