I’ve tried a lot of the Replica (MM) - only Jazz Club has any longevity.

im coming to the end of a discovery set from penhaligons. Seriously disappointing. Lasts 10 minutes and distinctly “meh” - to add insult to injury the last ml won’t decant/spray. Total waste of money and I’m so unimpressed I’ve given a few of the unisex to the kids and I’m happy to wear male fragrances.

Re - Replica. I agree about Jazz Club . The other one that is a good performer ( on me anyway) is by the fireplace.

Penhaligons - I agree their performance for most of their perfumes with the exception of Halfeti which is an absolute powerhouse. Personally would only ever wear this when it’s very cold ( like under 5 degrees ). For some reason it only works when it’s this cold ( this is probably just me though )

As an aside - I had a sniff of the new black opium in Boots yesterday. I like it but it’s nothing like Lost Cherry ( whoever said above it doesn’t have the same complexity I agree with you). It is a bit one note of cherry which then disappeared. I liked it but wouldn’t buy a bottle .

I am not sure if anyone has used perfume parlour ( they do copies of niche frags) but I placed an order with them last week . I ordered quite a few different copies to try but am disappointed with all I have tried so far.
I tried the copy of cafe rose ( Tom Ford ) - lasted all of about 10 mins ( fine given I only paid £8 for it) but I also didn’t think it smelled anything like Cafe Rose ( in fact I couldn’t even pick up any rose at all)

this morning I am trying a copy of Kilian - good girl gone bad( is that the name???) and it doesn’t smell like the Kilian version at all. So yea another fail ( which is a shame but only paid £8 again so I am not that upset about it).

I really like Le Labo 13 and their Matcha 26 when I sampled them.

I have not tried any Kayali perfumes but have heard lots of good things.

I’m going away next week so will have a browse in duty free.

Any recommendations for a fresh smelling scent that has good lasting power?

Kenzo Flower is lovely and fresh and lasts well on me

This also isn’t helping me to reduce my niche perfume want list as I was hoping that they’d smell similar and o could see how much I liked it ( before committing to spending ££££ ) . I think since neither the kilian or Tom Ford smell the same I can’t really rule out whether I like / want them

I'm really enjoying the Tom Ford - I like that it's not a smack you in the face coffee scent but definitely coffeeish, if that makes sense at all and not overly sweet.

Thanks for the tip about Kilian. I didn’t realise they offered you the option to redeem against a full size . That is a good idea .

The copy of cafe rose is neither coffee or rose - I fact I can’t work out what it smells of at all. Which is a shame .

Jo Malone: Grapefruit/ Lime Basil Mandarin/ Hazelnut & Oak, you can also blend those but probably not all 3 together lol ! Also Molten Brown Cypress & sea fennell.

Just trying out some perfumes on a ferry: Amarige by Givenchy, I used to have this but it was never a favourite; The Only One by Dolce & Gabbana, nothing special; and Interdit by Givenchy, I think this has had a few mentions? - quite musky, woody-smelling, I sort of like it (assume it was perfume, not after-shave?)

Just discovered interdit I love it!

Tested the copy of Apple Brandy on the rocks ( Kilian) - from perfume parlour. Absolutely love it - it smells of boozy spicy apple ( but not artificial apple smelling in the same way as the Kayali apple perfume).

I really enjoyed Monotheme White Musk I tried in M&S, for anyone who wore the Body Shop version it will take you straight back. It's only 15 quid at the moment too!

Ted Baker Rose and Cassis and its giving me a bit of a headache tbh
Must try it on a rainy day when my sinuses aren't irritated
Got a little atomiser for my work bag as I have a few scents like this that came without a spray. I think it will help me use them up. €1.69 on Temu and so far so good.

Valaya - Parfum De Marly copy

True to the original . Performed well throughout the day too. Loved the peachy undertone to the perfume ( its not as in your face as Bitter Peach - which I find overwhelming and artificial) . The dry down was floral ( again not OTT ) and a bit musky. Will wear this again for sure.

Cherry Smoke & Electric Cherry - Tom Ford copies

Both similar to the originals.

Electric Cherry was nice but quite artificial cherry smelling (and a bit one note). I feel like this is designed for a younger demographic. Average performance - I think I got around 2/3 hours out of it.

Cherry Smoke - this reminded me of the original Lost Cherry. I didn't pick up any leathery/smokiness at all. It has more complexity and smelled a bit like a Cherry Bakewell as it started to dry down ( I picked up almond/marzipan which i personally quite like ) . Good performance ( it lasted more or less all day on me.) Just as an aside this version reminds me of Zara - Cherry Smoothie ( which i also think is a really good copy of Lost Cherry) .

Vanilla Fatale - Tom Ford Copy

Similar to the original .

I am wearing this today - starts off well. I initially smelled like Vanilla Ice cream, however as this has started to dry down I now smell like Mr Sheen. . Its lasting quite well - sprayed on at 6.45am and still going. Not for me at all. Glad this was only a sample as its unlikely I will try it again.

Cafe Rose - Tom Ford Copy

Of the perfumes I bought this one is my least favourite. When I first tried it I couldn't pick up any notes at all so tried it again a couple of days later. The second time I went mad on the sprays which sort of helped. I don't think this smells like the original TF perfume at all. I didn't pick up any rose, coffee notes but then at the dry down all I could smell was soapiness ( which I suspect was the Coriander note). Not for me at all. Wont be trying this a third time.

Apple Brandy on the Rocks - Kilian copy

As with the others - virtually the same as the original version

LOVE this . Its apple pie and booze mixed all together . It smells fruity and spicy/woody ( but not OTT artificial fruity). Another perfume that lasts well. Will 100% wear this again. I think it smells yummy.

Rouge Malachite - Armani Prive copy

Same as the original . This is my favourite of the bunch. It is a creamy white floral which felt like being wrapped in a hug. This is a weird thing to say but this is how this made me feel when I wore it. I cant say enough good things about this perfume. It is dreamy and the only one I am contemplating buying the original (before I do I think I would have to trial the original it as its very expensive ).

Hope this was ok to share - I am not affiliated with Perfume Parlour in anyway. But wanted to share my thoughts as for the most part all the perfumes I have tried have been lovely and I think are pretty close to the original.

Cult Beauty have got a Fragrance Discovery edit. It's probably overpriced for samples and travel sizes but living in a small town means I can't try many of the fragrances I want so I've treated myself.

I haven’t tried any of the Kayali fragrances.
They have been mentioned here a few times. Any particular ones you all love? Pistachio gelato sounds like my kind of perfume
