Versace yellow diamond is quite clean smelling too I think.

Thanks for the recommendation. I’ve had a couple of bottles of Versace Bright Crystal, it was one of my favourites, I’m not sure if they’ve changed it but I get a funny, metallic smell off it now

Can anyone recommend a nice clean fresh smelling scent? My absolute favourite is Glossier You but I can’t smell it on myself at all, even though other people compliment me on it.

Is this the one in the brown square bottle? If so it smells like Narcisco Rodriquez (the original one in the black bottle). X

If its the one in the large clear square bottle just called Gucci, Divain do a dupe for it which is pretty spot on.

I tried the platinum one! Liked it but I didn’t even see the flowers one which I didn’t know about eithe. I did try paradoxe floral though and didn’t like it at all.

Brilliant, thank you! I bought a sample of the new Libre yesterday so interested to try it. I only like the original Libre out of all the different versions so I don’t have high hopes for the new one

I got 3 samples of Victoria Beckham (those awful card ones with a drop of fragrance under a sticker).

I tried the blue one first, gorgeous. Reminded me of Bal D'afrique but with a sweetness like BR540.

Today I dabbed San Ysidro Drive. I could smell much so I sprayed something else, can't remember.
In work I kept getting wafts of like an old incontinent unwashed lady smell. Rose and stale urine. Very disappointed in my usually pristine colleagues.

Got home and lifted the card out of the bin... Yep, it was that. The reviews seemed good on fragrantica so maybe it was a bad sample. I hope nobody else noticed the smell

Just tried my sample of San Ysidro -- it was really nice, lasted & faded beautifully. Maybe it's the other thing you sprayed that interfered with it?

Anyone else ordered these? Mine came today and I tried Bare, and I really like it. It’s masc leaning/unisex cedar with a vanilla base. I’d definitely wear it again

I tried Replica Fireside today because a Molecule scent I sprayed on really reminded me of the Woodstock-inspired perfume Replica used to do (I can't remember whether they discontinued it or just changed the name) - anyway I went looking for that one, didn't find it and sprayed on the Fireside one to compare the smokiness. I love it! It started off smoky and autumnal and has faded to a gorgeous toasted marshmallow scent. I will treat myself to a bottle at some stage!
Got the new Alien for my birthday recently and it's lovely. Not as in-your-face as the original Alien which I never liked, or indeed Angel, which I loved but do find sickly nowadays.

I've got to come to terms with the fact that any perfume with a caramel note, no matter how subtle, will a) project project project, and b) will turn to straight up celery or curry on me

Maybe you need to steer into it and go for an actual spicy caramel like changing constance or Chelsea morning lol

Yeah, it’s fenugreek that does that. I find it a menace too! Burnt sugar doesn’t do it in my experience.

I’ve had bad times with aja as a note as sometimes it smells like ear wax to me. Honey is iffy too. I also don’t like hedione, or iso e, or ambroxan.

Try here for autumnal scents that aren’t caramel. New ones will be out fairly soon I think. Mara will also at various times in the year make personal private editions, 3-4 choices of notes and some guidance on the feel you’re going for, and she makes it and gives it a cute label too. I had a really nice autumnal appley/leaves scent in the past and I’ve had pe’s done a few times. They’re roll on oils as standard ( you can ask for spray instead, and also pheromone add ins!).

Tried Not a Perfume today, very disappointed, smelled average. Charlotte Tilburys new collection however, delightful. Joyphoria was my favourite.

I love the Chanel Gabrielle but I stupidly got the Eau version which is quite strong on initial drydown but then is gone in a few hours. I need to read the reviews on Fragrantica more as they're usually very accurate.

I've just ordered another bottle of Mon Guerlain now it's heading into winter - only perfume I've ever used every last drop of.

I have only ever finished 4 perfumes in my life, and 3 of them were by Guerlain (Idylle, Insolence, and La Petit Robe Noir for anyone who cares ) they make absolutely beautiful fragrances.
