Sorry I know a lot of people saw it, it was with a gut health doctor (Dr. Anne something...) and she was bleeping foul. Linking ADHD and autism to c sections and whether or not breastfeeding had taken place. Saying the "PC brigade" in Ireland was too much and people need to lose weight if they want to avoid cancer and alzeihmers (I know weight is clinically relevant here but her tone was so mocking, like almost laughing at people when "I tell a 120kg person they need to lose some weight and they look at me and say do I doctor??"). She also said she hates people depending on antidepressants and antipsychotics long term as apparently what they put into their body via diet can cure their conditions.... I'm sorry but that's insensitive at best and dangerous at worst. I could go on I'm sure but I couldn't finish it as it was so offensive.
Is that not totally the opposite stance to the podcast from the obesity specialist?
I don't really listen to her pod so don't know the other episodes, I only listened to this one cause the soundbite she put up was so inflammatory and degrading she got a reaction out of me to go listen. Both Laura and Dr. Anne were getting slayed in comments and it's now disappeared with no word on the matter.
Have just seen this on another one of Laura's threads. Unless I missed something (could have, apologies if I did) I don't think it's good enough to just take it down, it has already offended and triggered many people. Laura should make an apology and clarify the bullshit this woman was saying was indeed bullshit.

One of her other highlights she's talking about a woman with bowel cancer and attributes it to "she ate lots of takeaways". bleeping patient-blaming bullshit. I'm not saying a doctor shouldn't state the facts re healthier choices, but her manner is foul.
She reminds me of Gillian mcKeith in the way she says eat well to live well and then looks like she’s smoked two boxes a day for 30 years
But that’s like saying too if you do this this and this you’ll live a long and disease free life when it’s not as simple as that. People who have never smoked still get lung cancer. I’m sure it’s the same for bowel cancer. It’s not always just what you ate or didn’t eat

I wonder if she can explain how I ended up with multiple pre cancerous polyps found in an endoscopy while I had a normal BMI back then (mid thirties), and a vegetarian since the age of 8 (looking at her stories, she doesn’t like vegetarian diets!)I genuinely wonder now if it was her that told me to reduce my red meat intake and had also no interest in listening to my family history of bowel cancer.
