I was understanding why he didn't want to rush a few weeks back but now he is just taking the piss and it might come back bitting his ass later.
Williams was offering him a long terme contract, even agreeing with his want to have a clause to leave the team in 2026 if a top spot open, they show that they really want him and no one else and he left them hanging because Briatore appeared and promised him wonderful thing in Alpine... Now Williams (rightly so) are looking for signing Valterri. Haas has Esteban. Which will left him with either Stake (worst team on the grid right now and Audi won't save everything. And also the team no one want to join) or Alpine (slightly better performance but i think Briatore can create full chaos here and he will be teammate with Pierre and that can be electric) or no seat at all.
Ngl he is pissing me more and more lately. Just take a bleeping decision and stand by it, do not just play with everyone Also his comment on how he was busy watching the Euro so couldn't talk about contract makes me

Obviously thinks he's still in with a chance at Mercedes. Even if he gets the seat, I dont see that working well at all. He doesn't fit the vibe in the slightest and can't imagine Toto being swayed by Papa Sainz.

Carlos seems to have forgotten he has the merit, skills and does not need showing off, pr games or creating artificial image to attract the employer, this entertaining episode seems to have altered his view of reality a bit.
