Oh the confidence of white wealthy priviledged men-they watch a show, decide they want something like that for themselves and next thing you see they have a movie. Too bad Lewis has this thing for problematic celebs, I wanted to enjoy the post win content but now I am starting to get an ick, why Lewis, why!

I think celebs have always been about at Silverstone but now the Hilton has opened opposite the pits there is more space/scope for inviting influencers. They didn’t seem to have full paddock passes and access to the grid like the “proper” celebs.
The other reason it’s more obvious now is they document everything on their own SM which is much more effective than a few years ago they were just papped arriving or about the place and those photos had to break into the online newspapers for some recognition.

Who are they complaining about attending? Asking despite knowing I’ll not have any idea who they are

Ah yeah that makes sense, thank you!! On the McLaren insta they posted Mary earps, Emilia Clarke, mo farah and a few others attending through them and the commments were saying how barely any of them actually know anything about the sports etc.

The only comments I could see happy celebs were attending was on the f1’s post about Jeremy clarkson, Richard Hammond and Brian may (understandable)

exactly! hopefully he’s replacing old man sonny rather than joshua - it’s wild that apx-gp carry on with sonny after the amount of times he and checo have crashed into each other

I’m more or less ok with the sports / A lister celebs. They have achieved the pinnacle in their fields. Some are probably friends with the drivers too.
The ones that really really grate are the Z-list influencers with no talent (who just shill clothes and go to the opening of an envelope) and suddenly are the biggest Lewis Hamilton fan of all time.

We should start coming up with bingo cards for this crappy looking movie and I don't think we need bother putting paddle palling with you driver mates, or any of the other IRL things that can't be translated into an arch enemy arc, on there. There will be a life threatening crash for sure though, and he will win the next race.
Honestly, whoever came up, a thread or two ago, with the ideo of a Windsor style show about the clowns at Ferrari should go and pitch that to Channel 4. That would be HILARIOUS.

I'm still sulking about Brian May....doesn't have enough knowledge about the sport to talk to Martin on the grid but gets to wave the chequered flag. meh (I really need Lando do not duck up at the next race so this grumpy mood shifts!! )

in other news, I listened to Matt&Tommy podcast while stuck in traffic today and they mentioned that apparently Hulkenberg has more points from last 2 races (2xP6) than Checo from last 6...

I am also reading that Carlos memorised the weather forecast by colors (I still did not see the race in whole) and as a fellow Virgo I just gasped from satisfaction and my feels about him going to Merc to join Hermione Granger George are back.

I've not posted on this thread in ages but I was there on the weekend and my my what a race. Nearly lost my voice when McLaren made their way up to 1,2 (bet the strategists had a fun Monday in the office lol) but so happy for Lewis regardless, what a moment!!

We said we weren't going next year (this was year 3 in a row) but now I have to bc Lando is going to win at Silverstone (manifesting this a year in advance )
The crowd was electric, and also hilarious as we were taking our ponchos on and off every 5 mins!
