OH. MY. GOD. What a bloody race to be at!!

We were so fortunate all day. Got kinda cold watching F3/F2 but had tickets to go in the museum after those races and lo and behold we managed to be in the museum during the very worst of the rain, only got a little bit rained on queuing for the loo ahead of the race.

That race had everything....overtakes, double stacking in the pits, weather, strategy calls.... apparently I was too focused on other things to consider pressing the Logan button

Was soooooo tense counting down the last 10 laps, especially when Max overtook Lando and then the last few laps everyone was screaming for Lewis. After all this time since AD 2021, for Silverstone to be the race Lewis won after so long, you couldn't have written a better script. If I'd been at home watching I probably would also have cried like Lewis himself, but I was too tense and then too excited screaming my head off! Amazing scenes. The hug with his dad, Bono being the one to go on the podium with him. Absolutely delighted. Mama Knit was sad for her Georgie having to retire - from reading back this thread it sounds that was a surprise for TV watching folks too. Sad that McLaren muffed up strategy for Lando and Oscar as I would have been happy for either of them to have won, but the stars said today was Lewis's day

Silverstone is, once again, back up there on my bucket list of races to go to. (As if it ever left)

I am not over yesterday yet, and this might actually be one I'm going to have to rewatch alone during summer break

I drank two bottles of prosecco during the race, ate pasta salad for dinner, watched indycar, drank tequila in honor of pato and watched Thirst Traps on TikTok of most of the grid - Its safe to say I had the best Sunday but my god my head hurts today!

I will have to watch but it might have been a bit of reality check for Max- his strongest contender from the past all happy and ready to go again and his most recent contender Lando also there. Maybe there will be less time for sim racing and more time in the factory (was this rumour confirmed that at some point this season Max has not been to the factory for 2 months)

Good morning!

It's so amazing hearing the crowd all the way round. For most of the race people were just cheering when the Brits got to our corner or when there was an overtake, but then the last lap everyone just screamed him the entire way round Such an atmosphere.

Now I have the come down of travelling back to London whilst feeling very lurgied...I am definitely looking forward to my own bed, not sharing a room. I love Mama Knit, but I need silence to sleep

he def wasn’t in the factory between Australia and Shanghai as he was on vacation between his races

bigger question - can Toto now convince him to head to Merc already in 25? That would give Kimi one more year in F2 and in a double role as reserve driver and been more involved in the F1 side of things

LOL, everytime someone sais that, I get flashes of George being JRM's illegitimate son.

On another note: Unless he can produce the drive of a lifetime in Hungary, I think it's over for Checo. They are only 69 pts in front in the constructor's championship and the Horner side of RB don't like being the butt of the jokes. I can see them phrasing it that Checo will take a time-out to refocus or something like that. If Liam's test is bad, they might even activate full panic mode and put DR in the RB while Liam joins Yuki early.

I started to look at some Lewis' content before I will be able to watch the whole race but I have to stop as clips with his parents are making me teary eyed and I am travelling by trains today all day and can't cry in public

pato is more of an angel cake (pastel layers with surprising little treat inbetween each one) or a red velvet cake (knows exactly what it is, you’re looking at other cake but it still always catches your eye)
