He always plays up his reluctance to shoeys. But still does them, he loves them really. Just acting to make it less obvious he's into it.Lando really didn't want to do it
He shook hands on a bet with Billy Monger to drink out of his leg if he won.
Are shoeys an Aussie thing?
Just a Daniel thing I think and then it spread
Shoeys are another thing I’m grumpy about - totally gross
it’s an aussie thing (i want to say from supercar racing?) but daniel brought it to f1. i’ve definitely seen cricketers do it (and harry styles did one when he played in aus too!!

OH. MY. GOD. What a bloody race to be at!!
We were so fortunate all day. Got kinda cold watching F3/F2 but had tickets to go in the museum after those races and lo and behold we managed to be in the museum during the very worst of the rain, only got a little bit rained on queuing for the loo ahead of the race.
That race had everything....overtakes, double stacking in the pits, weather, strategy calls.... apparently I was too focused on other things to consider pressing the Logan button
Was soooooo tense counting down the last 10 laps, especially when Max overtook Lando and then the last few laps everyone was screaming for Lewis. After all this time since AD 2021, for Silverstone to be the race Lewis won after so long, you couldn't have written a better script. If I'd been at home watching I probably would also have cried like Lewis himself, but I was too tense and then too excited screaming my head off! Amazing scenes. The hug with his dad, Bono being the one to go on the podium with him. Absolutely delighted. Mama Knit was sad for her Georgie having to retire - from reading back this thread it sounds that was a surprise for TV watching folks too. Sad that McLaren muffed up strategy for Lando and Oscar as I would have been happy for either of them to have won, but the stars said today was Lewis's day

I can go to sleep a very very happy lady. And Prince Pato won in Indy too.... we are so blessed today!

I didn't get to go this year, but my 19 year old son did and he wouldn't have been sat all that far from you!
As a TV watcher I bloody loved this race. It had everything and a Lewis win was the icing on the cake. (Would have loved Lando to win obvs).
I cried when Lewis cried, my youngest boys called me an itty witty baby, but I loved it from start to finish!*
*obviously next time McLaren need to sort out strategy/ tyre choice.
I still cannot bleeping believe I could not watch the whole race or witness all the Lewis content live and practically missed all weekend! On the other hand, I would be a mess! (I got teary eyed just watching last laps on my phone with poor internet, on the road)
What a season though: Lando's first win (I cried), Sharl's home race win (I cried), Lewis' another win and after such break (I will surely cry watching the replay of the race, maybe tomorrow evening)

I think this is an Aussie thing. And i think i read somewhere that Jack Miller did it for his first win in Moto GP before Daniel brought it to F1.

Lewis podiums at Silverstone make me feral
Silverstone is, once again, back up there on my bucket list of races to go to. (As if it ever left)
I am not over yesterday yet, and this might actually be one I'm going to have to rewatch alone during summer break
